SAFETY BELT ON PASSENGER SIDE FAILED TO RETRACT, LEAVING PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT WITHOUT ANY RESTRAINT. DEALER WAS CONTACTED. *AK
FOR SOME ODD REASON THE FREON FROM MY AUTO AIR CONDITIONER STARTED LEAKING INTO THE CAR. I THOUGHT MY CAR WAS ON FIRE. THE FREON LEAKED INTO MY VEHICLE FOR OVER 3 DAYS. I WOULDN'T THINK THAT A SUBSTANCE SUCH AS THIS SHOULD LEAK INTO A VEHICLE.
ROTORS AND PADS HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED THREE TIMES IN THREE YEARS. STEPPING ON BRAKES IS LIKE DRIVING OVER A RAILROAD TRACK; CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY. BRAKE LIGHT STAYED ON FOR A YEAR BECAUSE MECHANIC DIDN'T THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT. GOT NEW MECHANIC; BRAKES STILL A PROBLEM.
ENGINE "DIES" EVEN THOUGH BATTERY WORKS. OCCURS ENROUTE OR WHILE PARKED. HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR SIX MONTHS UNDER VARIOUS CONDITIONS. NO PREDICTABILITY OR WARNING, EVEN ENROUTE. MECHANIC CANNOT IDENTIFY PROBLEM. CONTACTED GM: I'M WAITING FOR RESPONSE.
PARTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON LEFT FRONT BRAKE, BUT IT STILL SQUEALS AND LOCKS UP. AND THE EXHAUST CAN BE SMELLED INSIDE CAR, A VERY SUFFOCATIING SMELL WITH THE DOORS SHUT AND WINDOWS UP. *AK

SEAAT BELT NOT CONNECTED TO THE BODY INSTEAD IT IS CONNECTED TO THE DOOR AND IN A RECENT ACCIDENT THE DOOR WAS TORN OFF AND THE PASSENGER WAS THROWN OUT OF THE CAR AND KILLED THE YOUTH . AND I AM CONCERNED THAT THAT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE SOME PROGRAM TO HAVE MY CAR TAKEN IN AND HAVE THE SEATBELTS REPLACED IN A SAFE POSITION. I DO KNOW THAT IN 1994 OR 1995 YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO PUT THE SEATBELTS IN A SAFER POSITION. THANK YOU . I WILL BE LOOKING FOR A REPLY. *AK
3 OUT OF 7 SEATBELTS HAVE MALFUNCTIONED, AND CHEVY WON'T HELP REPLACE THEM. *AK
FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AND PASSENGER'S SIDE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORS THAT HOLD THE SHOULDER BELTS TO THE DOOR ARE DETERIORATING DUE TO HEAT AND SUN FATIGUE. DEALER HAS NOT SEEN VEHICLE. *AK

THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT SEAT MANUAL RECLINING MECHANISMS DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 207, "SEATING SYSTEMS." THE SEAT BACK MECHANISMS WILL NOT LATCH UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THE SEATS MAY RECLINE WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, RESULTINGIN A HAZARD TO SEAT OCCUPANTS AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
Remedy: REPLACE THE MANUAL SEAT RECLINER MECHANISM WITH A MECHANISM THAT COMPLIES WITH FMVSS 207.
