THE TIMING BELT BROKE ONE MONTH AFTER PURCHASING. IT HAS BEEN REPLACED FOUR TIMES. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS PUT ON WRONGLY, WENT BACK TO DEALER, THE SECOND TIME IT LASTED ONE YEAR, THE THIRD TIME IT LASTED TWO YEARS, THE FOURTH TIME WAS REPLACED ON 12/27/99. *AK
BRAKES WERE CHECKED AND FRONT PADS AND ROTOS REPLACED IN 1998,WERE TOLD REAR ARE NOT WORKING DUE TO RUST AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. PADS ARE LIKE NEW BUT STIIL NEED REPLACING DUE TO DESIGN. BRAKES WERE CHECKED AND FRONT PADS AND ROTOS REPLACED IN 1998,WERE TOLD REAR ARE NOT WORKING DUE TO RUST AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. PADS ARE LIKE NEW BUT STIIL NEED REPLACING DUE TO DESIGN. COST $600.00 AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE A PROBLEM. ALREADY SPENT $300.00 ON FRONT BRAKES ONE AGO AND THEY NEED REPLACEMENT. GENERAL MOTORS SHOULD HOLD SOME RESPONIABILITY FOR THIS PROBLEM AND COVER THIS COST FOR REPAIR.
WHILE ENTERING THE VEHICLE FROM A PARKING LOT CONSUMER NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM TURN SIGNAL SWITCH. SWITCH WA SREPLACED BY DEALER AT COST OF $294.00 *AK
PASSENGER'S SIDE SEAT IS STUCK IN THE RECLINING POSITION. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE, THE VEHICLE WOULD SLOW DOWN , JERK AND SPEED UP AGAIN. DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKES AND PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. *AK
WHEN DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THERE IS A LOUD KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ALTERNATOR, AND THE DEALER CAN'T DETERMINE THE CAUSE. DEALER REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR. *AK
CONTINUAL BRAKE FAILURES. ROTORS AND CALIPERS REQUIRE FREQUENT REPLACEMENT. GM CLAIMS NOT TO KNOW OF PROBLEM DESPITE NUMEROUS SIMILAR COMPLAINTS AT THIS SITE ALONE.

THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT SEAT MANUAL RECLINING MECHANISMS DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 207, "SEATING SYSTEMS." THE SEAT BACK MECHANISMS WILL NOT LATCH UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THE SEATS MAY RECLINE WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, RESULTINGIN A HAZARD TO SEAT OCCUPANTS AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
Remedy: REPLACE THE MANUAL SEAT RECLINER MECHANISM WITH A MECHANISM THAT COMPLIES WITH FMVSS 207.
