MY DEALER HAS INFORMED ME THAT THE FRONT CRADLE ON MY 1993 CHEV. LUMINA HAS RUSTED THROUGH AND BROKE, THERE IS NO RUST ON THIS CAR, THE DEALER CAN NOT EXPLAIN HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN. I CONTACTED G.M. AND EXPLAINED BOTH MY PROBLEM AND THE OBVIOUS SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD THIS POSES, BECAUSE OF THE HIGH MILEAGE ON THE CAR; G.M. WOULD NOT CONSIDER MY CONCERNS, THIS IS NOT A NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR PROBLEM! THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN WRECKED AND AS STATED EARLIER HAS NO OTHER AREAS OF SIGNIFICANT RUST. I BELIEVE THAT THIS MUST BE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THUS POSES A THREAT NOT JUST TO ME, BUT POTENTIALLY ALL 1993 LUMINA OWNERS. *MJS
