2025 Jeep Wrangler

There was an over the air updated to something in the vehicle and now hybrid battery range is much lower. Also, have seen multiple complaints that the vehicle will not turn on or stalls while driving creating dangerous conditions on the road while driving. I have not attempted to drive on the road after seeing other complaints concerning this update. Vehicle was perfectly fine before update. This is completely unacceptable, essentially using drivers as test dummys for untested and unproven software updates.

Had an issue with a service charging system, and service hybrid system on my 2025 jeep wrangler 4xe that I’ve had for 7 mos. Under 10k miles. When checked, I was told it was a connector for the ac compressor, had a bent pin. On back order. 2 weeks + later, called to bring it in. The repair was a 16 hr repair, which I wasn’t notified of, service agent said tech completed it in 9 as I waited a total of 12 hours at the dealership. Was not told the eac and hv cable needed to be replaced. A few days later, check engine light came on. Phoned dealer, told to bring it in. Did so and service agent mentioned code about evap. Then, told me it required an update. Drove for 2 hours, check engine light came back on. Took jeep back and got a loaner. Told it was a purge valve solenoid that had to be ordered. Issue with the evap that they didn’t address the first time. The dealer phoned days later to say it was fixed, and when I arrived, I didn’t even make it out of the service lane before the check engine light came on again.

While driving vehicle randomly stops upon inspection it's throwing code P1E1D. Car will randomly stall and lock up. Was able to pull over to the side and not cause an accident. Was able to reproduce, car only goes about half a mile. Check engine light came on. This is related to system update push by Jeep. My vehicle did a software update Friday, October 10 10th after the update the vehicle went into a limp mode. I had to put the vehicle in park. Turn the vehicle off. Turn the vehicle back on immediately a check engine light came on. After the incident, the vehicle would only operate for about 10 minutes and I would have to repeat the same steps in order to get me safely home. Basically left me stranded with no power steering no warning that the vehicle even turned off just simply stopped in traffic in some cases and I was losing control.

Vehicle shut down without warning while driving 6 times within an hour time period trying to get to nearest repair facility. No throttle response and loss of power steering upon occurrence. After pulling over and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle functioned normally for 5 to 10 more minutes but a check engine light stayed illuminated. Vehicle was operating on battery power, not gas engine, each time. Dealership has possession of the vehicle currently.

We were flat towing our Jeep Wrangler behind our RV using a new Blue Ox Avail tow bar and the right-side tow arm failed. Once the tow bar failed it was difficult to keep the Jeep within the lane behind the RV until we could find a safe place to exit the interstate and unhook. Blue Ox sent us a replacement Avail tow bar since it was under warranty, and the exact same thing happened on the first trip with the brand new replacement. The right-side tow arm failed traveling down the interstate. Two failures with two brand new units….Blue Ox Avail tow bar.

I rented a Jeep Wrangler from Enterprise in Kingston, NY. While driving on the highway, my 12-year-old daughter pulled a lever in the passenger seat, and the roof panel detached and flew onto the road. There were no warnings, no instructions, and no disclosure from Enterprise. This posed an extreme danger to drivers. This vehicle design and rental practice presents a major public safety risk. This is an unmodified 2025 Jeep Wrangler with less than 3000 miles. While driving between 20 and 30 miles per hour, the vehicle went completely dead in traffic. No power, no lights, no dashboard, no blinkers, no brake lights. It stalled and was stuck in drive. It proceeded to roll a few feet after failing. It would not start as nothing was functioning. Because there was no power to the vehicle at all, I could not open the tailgate to get tools or a light. I had to climb over the seats. The vehicle failed in traffic while driving and came to an immediate stop in the road. In approximately 50ft I would have been turning left into and intersection. After a few days at the dealer, they recreated the problem. They drove it about a mile and it failed in traffic and needed to be towed to the dealership again. There was no warning or check engine light. Everything just went black/dead. The dealer states "The ground wire under the TIPM/Fuse Panel was loose, causing intermittent short to ground canceling all power to vehicle." The vehicle has only 3000 miles on it, so this was a defect from the factory, as the wire is not even accessible without disassembly of the engine compartment.
