2025 Jeep Wrangler

Component/System Failure: The hybrid/electric propulsion system intermittently loses power while driving. Electric output is progressively reduced to approximately 50%, then 25%, and then fully disabled, even when sufficient battery charge remains. The condition appears to involve the hybrid control/electric drive system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. What Happened / Safety Risk: The loss of electric propulsion occurs unpredictably during normal operation, including both highway and city driving. The reduction in available power and sudden loss of electric functionality creates a potential safety concern, particularly when driving in traffic or at higher speeds, where reduced or inconsistent propulsion may impact the ability to maintain speed or respond to driving conditions. Additionally, the vehicle is subject to a high-voltage battery recall involving fire risk, which raises concern regarding safe operation and storage of the vehicle. Reproduction / Dealer Confirmation: The issue has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership (Johnson Auto Plaza, Brighton, CO). The dealership also confirmed that the same issue was reproduced on another Jeep Wrangler 4xe vehicle on their lot. Inspection by Manufacturer / Others: The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership and escalated to Jeep Engineering. The manufacturer has been unable to diagnose the issue due to the absence of diagnostic codes and has not identified a repair. Warning Lamps / Messages / Symptoms: No consistent warning lamps or diagnostic codes are present when the failure occurs. The loss of electric functionality happens without a predictable pattern and without clear diagnostic indicators. Additional Notes: The issue occurs unpredictably under all normal driving conditions, including: Highway driving at speed City driving at low speed Various battery charge levels (low and high) The dealership has suggested possible driver-related causes; UNsupported by car behavior

I took my Jeep to the dealership to have the 68C recall fix done. Upon “passing” I was told I could continue charging as normal. I began charging as I did prior to the recall and recall fix and it fried my GFCI outlet and thankfully so or it my house would have caught fire. The only thing on that circuit is the Jeep charger and garage door opener, same as before the recall and recall fix. I’ve had an electrician out to confirm it wasn’t an electrical issue.

The vehicle has experienced repeated unexpected stalling during normal operation. After a dealership visit and representation that recall-related work was complete, the vehicle stalled again within hours. There is an active recall related to this issue with no available remedy. Due to safety concerns, the vehicle is not being driven. The manufacturer has not provided clear guidance regarding repair or safe operation, and the vehicle has been effectively unusable for an extended period of over 60 days.

On multiple occasions, the Auto Start/Stop system has triggered a failure message on the Driver Notification Screen on the Center Console. As a result, less than two to five minutes after the failure warning, the entire vehicle loses power and electrical continuity. The vehicle loses all electrical systems, accessories, and critical driving elements (including speedometer and other instruments). This requires full roadside towing and assistance. The vehicle was taken to two Jeep/Dodge/Ram service centers for diagnostics and service, and both centers were unable to replicate the customer concern, although one noted that the battery terminal was "disconnected", even though the engine bay and battery section was never accessed by the driver from when it was purchased, including roadside assistance never accessing the engine bay and battery section, they simply towed the vehicle by disengaging the parking brake and engaging it when towed. This poses an abrupt and severe safety concern, as sudden loss of power and electrical systems results in loss of control, loss of lighting (external lights (headlights, taillights, hazard lights, etc.), and causes panic. This vehicle cannot be trusted as the safety is compromised.

My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is under Safety Recall 68C / 25V-741. The recall instructs owners to stop charging the vehicle and to park away from structures due to fire risk. There is no remedy available. As a result, I cannot safely use the vehicle as intended. Stellantis Financial Services told me the only option is to pay off the lease to return it, which is unreasonable during an unresolved fire-risk safety recall. I am requesting NHTSA involvement because the manufacturer has not provided a remedy, loaner vehicle, or safe alternative transportation. I would like early lease termination with no penalties, and reimbursement of all payments made.

I was driving on a very busy road and the vehicle lost power. I consider that my life was in danger because of me the traffic piled up and other drivers were furious with me. No matter what I tried, the car simply would not stop. AAA came and was unable to make the car start. It was towed to a dealership. Prior to this I already had two service visits related to the Start Stop warning light coming on in my dashboard. The first time, the service department claimed that they could not figure out what caused it, but they replaced the auxiliary battery that powers the start stop feature. Basically one day later, the start stop warning light came on again. I had to take it back to the dealership and they kept the vehicle for two days and I don't think anything was done. After the vehicle was returned to me, within days the warning light came on and then would go off and come back on sporadically. On the date of the complete power loss, the warning light came on in my dashboard about one hour before the power loss. So far, Jeep has said that they won't even be able to look at my vehicle for a week and it will probably take at least two weeks because they are short-staffed. I think I have a lemon.

I am reporting concerns regarding the handling of NHTSA Recall 25V-741 (Stellantis 68C) on my 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. When I contacted the dealership (Jeep Only – 5255 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas) to address the recall, the service department refused to schedule a recall-related inspection, refused to open a required STAR case with Stellantis, and told me “nothing can be done,” despite the recall involving a high-voltage battery fire risk. I was also given misleading information about the vehicle’s safety and have been unable to obtain a copy of my signed lease agreement despite multiple requests. Their refusal to follow proper recall procedures leaves me without guidance on a fire-risk safety defect, and I am currently pregnant, making this situation especially concerning. I am requesting NHTSA review of the dealership’s handling of this safety recall and lack of assistance to consumers.

Fire-Risk Recall – Unsafe to Operate – No Remedy Provided “My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has an active fire-risk safety recall that makes the vehicle unsafe to drive or park near my home. Jeep and Stellantis have not provided a remedy or a loaner vehicle, and the dealership told me it is still ‘drivable’ despite the fire hazard. I have a young child, and this puts our safety at risk. I am requesting immediate investigation and assistance because the manufacturer has not offered a safe solution.”

My 2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN [XXX] ) is included in NHTSA Recall 25V-741 (FCA 68C) for a high-voltage battery defect that can cause a fire while parked. Jeep instructed owners not to recharge the vehicle and to park outside, away from structures, because the defect may lead to thermal events even when the vehicle is off. As of today, the manufacturer states the remedy is “not yet available.” This means the vehicle cannot be charged, stored in a garage, or used normally. I am a lessee still making payments on a vehicle that cannot be safely used. The lack of a remedy puts property and personal safety at risk. I am requesting NHTSA oversight to ensure FCA/Stellantis provides immediate relief such as a loaner vehicle or repurchase for owners and lessees affected by this recall.
