2024 Jeep Wrangler

In June 2026 the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe power shut down along with service engine light in two seperate instances while my son was driving at highway speed. I made the dealership aware and had the vehichle checked out. They said nothing wrong with vehichle. On July 25 2026 I was driving vehichle on highway and cruise control came on by itself along with service engine light. I had no power to accelerate. I had to pull over and shut car down before proceeding. I brought the vehichle to Paul Bailey dealership and they grounded the car on 8/7/2026 when Stellantis agreed to pay for a rental car.

* See list below for specifics - yes vehicle is available at mechanics location * 6 lane intersection - vehicle and myself were in center lane blocking traffic - made 911 call requesting officer since I was blocking traffic * See below for detailed description * No at this particular time, it is at the mechanic's shop for further investigation - shop was closed by the time the tow truck carried the jeep to the drop off location * See below for detailed description Within the last week the jeep turned off on its own while sitting with the engine running in a parking spot, it also automatically slowed down to less than 25 mph unable to give it gas and then a warning came on about the sway bar being disconnected, the check engine light came on for a few days then turned off by it self, the last incident some of the following warning lights came on before the jeep came to a stop on it's own while traveling approx 45 mph on a 6 lane street - serv 4wd, auto emergency braking unavailable, sway bar!, service electronic stability control, sway bar disconnect unavailable, forward collision warning off, adaptive cruise control fault, and as the jeep cut off the warning light for the plug status fault warning came on. The vehicle has been towed to a mechanic and they will let me know the status of the jeep once they have checked it out.

Dealers: Lakeland Crysler Dodge RAM, FL; Second authorized Jeep dealer, Bartow FL Complaint: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has multiple unresolved safety defects despite repeated warranty repairs, and I have no confidence in this Jeep at just 12,000 miles. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) not working — Lakeland Jeep failed to repair or document inspections. Fuel leak / gasoline fumes in the cabin — After repairs on Feb 4, 2026, strong fumes entered the cabin while my children were passengers. A second dealer confirmed the leak and retained the vehicle as unsafe. sensor failures — Reported since July 2024, still unresolved. Failure to document safety sensors — Repeatedly requested, ignored by dealer and Stellantis. Dealer GM and Stellantis negligence — Cases closed prematurely; repairs rushed without confirming the Jeep was safe to drive. The Jeep continues to pose serious risk to passengers, including my children, due to fuel fumes and non-functioning safety systems. I cannot trust this vehicle to transport my family safely, despite being only 12,000 miles. Documentation: Emails, texts, certified letters, and repair orders document repeated safety defects and communication with Stellantis and Lakeland Motors Jeep. YES GAS LEAK Engine oil leaks: Timing cover gasket Valve cover gasket with spark plug tube seals Injector O-rings Upper oil pan reseal Leaking rear shocks (suspension issue affecting vehicle stability) Upper oil pan replacement seal (additional engine oil sealing issue) Collision sensor failing (forward collision warning / crash-prevention system) The vehicle is currently at a dealership and available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The active fuel leak created immediate fire and fume inhalation hazards inside the passenger compartment, where occupants, including children, were seated. Fuel leak could have caused an engine fire. Engine leaks created risk of stalling or mechanical failure while driving. Leaking rear shocks affected vehicle stability and handling. The malfunctioning forward collision warning sensor impacted a crash-prevention safety system. These combined issues posed serious risk to vehicle occupants. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Driving down the road with vehicles on opposite side and vehicle shut off with no warnings and had no steering. Had to turn vehicle on and off 3-4 times to get back to home. Had to get vehicle towed to dealership and now has 3 recalls on it and two have no remedy. It has been since October of 2025 since this has been going on with no fix, no solution, no reimbursement for payments still being made on a vehicle that is not drivable.

My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has two serious safety recalls: A7C and 68C. Recall A7C states the vehicle may lose propulsion while driving, which can cause a crash without warning. Recall 68C states the high-voltage battery may be damaged during normal use and may cause a vehicle fire. Jeep instructs owners to not charge the vehicle and to park away from structures. The manufacturer states that no remedy is available for either recall. This makes the vehicle unsafe to drive, unsafe to park at home, and unusable as designed. The manufacturer has provided no timeline for repair. This is an unresolved, dangerous safety hazard.

Component/System That Failed: The airbag system, forward-collision sensors, and collision-warning/braking system failed. Despite a severe frontal crash, no airbags deployed and no warning or automatic braking occurred. The Bosch Crash Data Report shows abnormal sensor spikes (up to +52g), inconsistent Delta-V readings, and failures in object detection (“No Object” recorded before impact). The components remain available for inspection through the body shop and insurer. Safety Risk: My family and I were injured because the vehicle provided no warning, no crash avoidance, and no airbag deployment during a major impact requiring a full frame replacement. This failure places all Jeep 4XE drivers at risk of severe injury or death in similar conditions. Has the Problem Been Reproduced? The problem occurred unexpectedly during the crash and cannot be safely reproduced. However, Stellantis’s inspection did not explain the sensor irregularities or system failures. Vehicle Inspections: The vehicle has been inspected by Stellantis (File 94277361), my insurance company, and the collision repair center. Stellantis claimed “insufficient deceleration,” which contradicts the severity of damage, sensor data irregularities, and the fact that the other vehicle’s airbags deployed. Warning Lamps/Symptoms Before Failure: For weeks before the crash, the Jeep produced false crash warnings, beeping, and forward-collision alerts with no obstacles present. During the actual impact, all warnings stopped, and the system failed completely. This sudden shift from false alarms to total silence suggests a sensor or module defect. Urgency: Multiple active recalls already affect this vehicle line. I fear this Jeep is unsafe to drive even after repairs. I am requesting NHTSA’s urgent assistance and investigation into this failure to prevent further injuries.

I am experiencing a severe and dangerous front-end vibration at freeway speeds between 60–65 mph, commonly known as “Death Wobble.” The wobble is violent enough that I feel I could lose control of the vehicle. It makes the Jeep extremely unsafe to drive on the freeway. This is happening on a vehicle that is practically new with only 38,000 miles, which is unacceptable for a safety-related issue. I brought the vehicle to the dealership three times before my warranty expired, and the problem was never fixed. Now that the warranty period has passed, the dealership is telling me I must pay out of pocket for the repairs, even though this issue started and was reported while the vehicle was still under warranty.

I have had multiple issues with this vehicle including • A failed sensor resulted in the loss of traction control, four-wheel drive, and ABS brakes, making the vehicle unsafe to operate. • A fuel sensor malfunction caused gasoline to backflow and spill during refueling. • On a separate occasion, the vehicle shut off completely while driving, leaving me without control of the vehicle. There are now 2 recalls on the vehicle. 1 for the vehicle randomly turning off and the other for potential to catch fire. Neither of which the dealership or Stellantis has issued a fix and are saying it’s “safe to drive”, however I failed my inspection a few months due to a torn windshield wiper because that is a safety risk.

Received over the air Uconnect software update immediately thereafter, vehicle began stalling and putting itself in park before Jeep issued recall A7C (NHTSA 25V-710). Vehicle was towed to Glendale Jeep (Glendale, CA) on 10/11/25 and returned 10/24/25. Dealer mis-stated vehicle out by date on repair order. Upon receiving vehicle back and driving, still noticed a lack of power when accelerating. On 10/26/2025 vehicle infotainment system stopped working, and all infotainment-controlled safety related features stopped working (Collision avoidance, Back up camera etc.). I Reported incomplete repair back to dealer on 10/27/2025. Dealer states that they cannot accept vehicle back for repair as the fix they provided was only temporary. Jeep only provided them a temporary fix and Jeep has not released a complete comprehensive fix. Dealer never disclosed this repair was only temporary when the vehicle was picked up, despite having knowledge of this. Dealer now states that they cannot accept vehicle back or any affected vehicles at this time because they have too many affected Jeep on the lot awaiting the temporary repair. Contacted Jeep numerous times and filed claim. Jeep is delaying rental reimbursement payment under their wave program and not directly providing direct rental replacement vehicle either despite having been sent receipts and proof of repair work order. My vehicle and other Jeeps are not safe to drive with the temporary fix Jeep provided, as the safety features are not functioning. Additionally, The dealer should have not released the vehicle back with knowledge that these safety systems may be compromised. It puts my safety and the safety of other motorist on the road at risk. As of 10/28/25 ,Jeep and the dealer have not provided any instructions on what to do or how to proceed. Vehicle cannot be repaired at this point.
