I have since messaged with others with the exact same issue during these year models that were not listed in the recall and the repairs have cost in excess of $1300. When I bought the car 4/9/2026 I was told there was a recall. I called 2 weeks later to morrow cdj in morrow,ga. They said it would be over a month before I could get a loaner for the mean time. I couldn’t do that. I wouldn’t be able to get to home or take care of my daughter. I asked to be notified when there was a loaner available. 5/14/2026. I was driving with my daughter to the store and I completely loose power in the car. I could barely pull over to the side. AAA couldn’t charge the battery. I called the local jeep dealership. They wouldn’t help tow it to the dealership. They also had no loaners for over a month. And are taking their sweet time even looking at my car. After completely losing power in on going traffic that could have been catostrophic I’m angry. I called customer care for stellantis and they told me I could get my own rental and then submit for a possible reimbursement later but they will not get me a car. I’ve had this car for 5 weeks and now god knows how long I will not have a car. I can’t afford to pay a car note for over 500$ a month and a rental car. I don’t have a second car. Jeep knows this car is unsafe are not doing anything to assure the safety of its consumers. Nor are they trying to make it right. In the right place we could have been in an ugly accident because jeep isnt trying to fix these cars. Am I only entitled to fair treatment if we were not so lucky?

Recently, my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe was affected by the 68C Fire Safety recall where the Jeep was stuck at the dealership for battery replacement for 6 weeks. The dealership didn't have a loaner vehicle to offer during the time of the Safety recall. I was asked to contact the Jeep customer care about securing a rental vehicle during the time. I got this email from Stellantis before I started the rental: " Thank you again for speaking with me today. As a follow-up to our call, your rental reimbursement has been approved. You may rent through a licensed and legitimate company—such as Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, or Budget—at a daily rate of $60 per day, based on the local rates in your area. Sales tax is included in this amount. Please note that optional services—including insurance, fuel, tolls, GPS, tips, and underage driver fees—are not reimbursable through Jeep Customer Care. Rental reimbursement applies only to warranty-related repairs and covers the time your vehicle is at the dealership, unless special arrangements have been approved. To process your reimbursement, please reply to this email with the following documents: Once we receive these documents, we’ll begin processing your reimbursement right away. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help. " Jeep is now refusing the reimburse the non-optional charges saying that they only reimburse Time and Mileage and Taxes. Here are the required charges that Jeep is refusing to reimburse (Total of $337.71): Road Safety Fee (Colorado Mandatory): $229.62 (Total for both periods) Avis Mandatory Fees (FTP SR, License Recoup, Energy): $96.09 Extension Fee (Due to Repair Duration): $12.00 I spoke with the Customer Care multiple times that these are mandatory fees and as per their original email to me, they are supposed to only exclude optional fees from reimbursement. They are saying that Corporate policy is inconsistent with that email and they are unable to reimburse.

The vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler 4xe with approximately 43,000 miles experiencing a recurring electrical system malfunction involving the Body Control Module (BCM) and LIN communication network. The vehicle is currently at the dealership and is available for inspection upon request. The failure involves multiple electrical circuits and communication loss between modules, confirmed by dealership diagnostic codes including BCM B1642-15, B1646-15, B16D7-15, B16DF-15, and U1123-00 (lost communication with LIN ECU). This condition presents a safety risk due to intermittent stalling/shutdown while driving, electrical system instability, and failure of critical systems including exterior lighting and HVAC. These issues create unpredictable vehicle operation and reduced safety for occupants and others on the road. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealership over at least four separate service visits, for which documentation is available. Despite repeated repair attempts, the condition has not been resolved and the same faults continue to return. The vehicle has been inspected multiple times by the dealership. The manufacturer, Stellantis, has been contacted but has declined further escalation or engineering review, citing warranty expiration. Warning indicators, including the check engine light, have repeatedly appeared prior to and immediately after service visits. Additional symptoms include intermittent heater failure while driving, system-wide electrical malfunctions, and abnormal noises. This is an ongoing, unresolved electrical system failure involving repeated unsuccessful repair attempts and presents a continuing safety concern.

On 04/24/26 my 2022 Jeep 4xe with out any warning exploded in my driveway endangering my family and people in my neighborhood. Police and Fire were call and the vehicle was extinguished. No injuries occurred to anyone but toxic gas and exploding glass were blast through the neighborhood. If anyone had been any where around the car they would have been seriously injured. The fire department initial assessment was that the EV battery exploded. The battery on my Jeep was replaced along with other recall parts previously by our local jeep dealership. The Jeep was charged approximately 20min before explosion occurred but was unplugged at the time of explosion. My insurance company has possession of the vehicle at this time conducting its investigation. Video was captured of the incident from 2 different cameras. I am submitting this to hopefully make other 4xe owners aware of the situation even after we thought our recalls were taken care of. Please contact for further information.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Jeep Wrangler, Wrangler 4XE, and Jeep Gladiator vehicles. The electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a vehicle fire, even when the vehicle is parked with the ignition in the "Off" position.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures, until their vehicle is repaired. Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring and electric hydraulic power steering pump, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 9, 2026. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle fire can increase the risk of injury.
Remedy: Owners are advised to park outside and away from structures and not to charge their vehicles until the remedy is completed. Dealers will update the high voltage battery software, and replace the high voltage battery, as necessary, free of charge. Some owner notification letters were mailed beginning December 17, 2025. The remaining owner notification letters will be mailed at a later date. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 68C. The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a center brake light that fails to illuminate can fail to indicate to other drivers that the vehicle is slowing down, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers replaced the harness for the center brake light and rearview camera and/or the spare tire carrier/harness assembly, as necessary, free of charge. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEV). The high voltage (HV) battery pack assembly was built with incorrect fasteners to secure the 200-amp fuse, which can generate excessive heat.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Excessive heat may cause the fuse to fail and result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the HV battery fuse, as necessary. Dealers will also inspect the battery assembly for damage and replace it, if necessary. Consequence: Overheated clutch components may increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, damage to other nearby components can result in debris falling onto the road or a loss of drive, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Jeep Wrangler Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. The high voltage (HV) battery pack assembly was built with incorrect fasteners to secure the 200-amp fuse, which can generate excessive heat.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Excessive heat may cause the fuse to fail and result in a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the HV battery fuse, as necessary. Dealers will also inspect the battery assembly for damage and replace it, if necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 8, 2022. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chryler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The side marker lights may not function due to an incompatible tail light assembly wiring harness. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Nonfunctional side marker lights may reduce vehicle visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: FCA will replace the tail light assemblies, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 26, 2022 and August 3, 2023. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC's number for this recall is Z43.

The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 9 Vehicle Owner's Questionnaire (VOQ) reports, 1 Death and Injury report, and multiple field reports alleging incidents of engine compartment fires in model year (MY) 2021-2023 Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. The majority of the reports describe a fire occurring while the ignition in the vehicle was in an ‘OFF’ state with a suspected origin at the passenger front side of the engine compartment. An ignition ‘OFF’ vehicle fire can result in an increased risk of occupant injury, injury to persons outside the vehicle, and property damage, with little to no warning. ODI has contacted the vehicle manufacturer, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), and learned of several thermal events originating at the power steering pump electrical connector in recent model year Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles. The location of the pump connector is located at the passenger front side of the engine compartment, coinciding with the majority of fire reports known to ODI. ODI is opening this Preliminary Evaluation (PE) to assess the cause, scope, and frequency of the alleged defect. The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) opened PE21-021 on October 14, 2021, to investigate incidents alleging a stall/loss of motive power as a result of high-pressure fuel pump failures in certain model year (MY) 2019-2020 Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 heavy duty trucks equipped with 6.7L Cummins turbodiesel engines. During the investigation, ODI sought to determine if the related defect allegation was limited in scope to the recalled population. After review of information request response materials from both FCA and BMW, NHTSA determined that sufficient information to identify a comprehensive recall population could not be produced by FCA and BMW.During the investigation FCA filed recalls 22V406, 22E048, 22V767, and 22E087 which include vehicles not identified in the initial subject population by ODI. ODI also received recall 21V586, involving loss of motive power due to failed CP4 fuel pumps on certain BMW manufactured vehicles. An information request letter response received from BMW indicated that failed pumps on their vehicles were caused by an interaction between pump internal components and US market diesel fuel, leading to increased slip and eventual particle-generating wear surface. NHTSA received a petition on or about July 18, 2022, requesting that Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 141 be applied to all electric and hybrid vehicles operating in the United States. The petition can be reviewed at NHTSA.gov under ODI Number 11486072. FMVSS 141 establishes performance requirements for pedestrian alert sounds for motor vehicles. The standard applies to hybrid and electric vehicles that have a gross vehicle weight rating of 4,536 KG or less or are defined as low-speed vehicles. The standard became fully applicable to all such vehicles manufactured on or after March 1, 2021.On January 27, 2023, NHTSA opened Defect Petition (DP) 22-005 to evaluate the subject matter described in the petition. On June 24, 2023 and as supplemented on June 25, 2023, the petitioner notified NHTSA he was withdrawing his petition. The petitioner indicated that, based on his review of data, there is no justification for asserting potential benefits that could be derived from actions sought by my petition.
