I HAVE A 99 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO AND WE NOTICED THAT THE FUEL TANK SKID PLATE WAS ALL RUSTY. AND PIECES WERE FALLING OFF. MY BOYFRIEND LOOKED AT IT AND COME TO FIND OUT THE SKID PLATE IS THE ONLY THING HOLDING MY GAS TANK IN. THE ONE SIDE WHERE THE BOLTS ARE WERE ALL RUSTED AND NOT EVEN CONNECTED SO MY GAS TANK WAS ABOUT…

I HAVE A 99 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO AND WE NOTICED THAT THE FUEL TANK SKID PLATE WAS ALL RUSTY. AND PIECES WERE FALLING OFF. MY BOYFRIEND LOOKED AT IT AND COME TO FIND OUT THE SKID PLATE IS THE ONLY THING HOLDING MY GAS TANK IN. I THINK THIS IS A TRUE HAZARD AND NEEDS TO BE RECALLED ASAP! EVER JEEP I SEE HAS THE SAME ISSUE WITH RUSTY SKID PLATES OVER THE GAS TANK. MY JEEP. RUNS GREW AND BODY IS FINE THE GAS TANK SKID PLATE NEEDS TO BE FIX ASAP RECALL NOW! I'M SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR WITH MY KIDS IN IT
