This vehicle has two open safety recalls that the manufacturer has been unable to repair. Recall 25V607000 (manufacturer campaign 283, seat belt buckles, front row and second row outer) was issued in September 2025. The dealer has attempted the repair since March 2026 and cannot complete it because the buckle assembly is on back order. On a June 2026 repair order the dealer listed the part as "Unrealized" and performed no work. The same repair order also listed recall 26V034000 (manufacturer campaign 292, third row FMVSS 226 ejection mitigation), and that repair was not performed either. The repair order was left in pre-invoice status with no labor or parts, and the odometer moved one mile between check-in and check-out. As of August 2026 both recalls still show Recall Incomplete on the NHTSA VIN lookup. The seat belt recall has been unrepairable on this vehicle for approximately five months. The manufacturer's national consumer affairs office stated in writing on four separate dates in June and July 2026 that the dealership had confirmed the parts were available and that we only needed to schedule an appointment. We scheduled and attended an appointment on the date they instructed, and the part was not there. We then contacted three separate dealerships independently; none had the seat belt buckle part in stock, and each stated it remains on back order with no availability date. The manufacturer has declined to repurchase the vehicle or otherwise resolve the matter. The vehicle is used to transport young children in the second and third rows. It has been driven very little since March 2026 because the family does not consider it safe to rely on with an unrepaired seat belt recall. No crash or injury has occurred. The concern is that a federally mandated safety remedy has been unavailable for months while the manufacturer represents that it is available.

After the "9C9" emissions recall update the vehicle randomly fails to respond to appropriately throttle input when attempting to accelerate into traffic. The issue is very intermittent - it may occur twice in 10 minutes or drive fine for hours. It has demonstrated both a "bucking" / stuttering / misfire feeling as well as a complete lack of any throttle response. After a few seconds of bucking, the vehicle returns to normal and accelerates smoothly with no change in throttle input. If the throttle failed to respond, pumping the pedal a few times has resumed normal operation. Situation has occurred multiple times since the update and has allowed the vehicle to roll into traffic without the ability to promptly accelerate to speed creating a safety hazard. There are no warning lights, and the dealership is unable to reproduce the issue.

Driver seat moves/repositions on its own after starting vehicle. The seat will move forward, fold you forward into the steering wheel then move far back and reposition to saved setting. Also, while in reverse, the seat will move back all the way and pull you away from the brake/accelerator pedals. This is a safety issue especially while the vehicle is not in park or is in motion. This vehicle has been to a dealer for repair no less than 6 times for this issue. It is an intermittent issue and the dealer has only witnessed it once. Since the vehicle has not issued a "code" they will not attempt to fix the safety issue. Hyundai Corp. so far has been unresponsive.

ALTERNATOR FAILURE: My family and I were moving to [XXX] from [XXX]. A few hours into the drive, the vehicle battery light came on. It was intermittent though. It would be on for a little while 10-15 mins and then shut off and then repeat this process. I stopped at an Autozone and they tested the battery and it was showing a charge of 7%. I could not afford to get stranded somewhere so I went ahead and had the battery replaced, even though I suspected the alternator was going bad. We continued on the trip, but the battery light continued to turn on and off. The vehicle ultimately began losing power about 2 hours after replacing the battery, causing all the warning lights on the dash to turn on, the main center console display lost power and then I lost power steering. All of this happened while I was on the interstate, putting myself and my family in serious danger. I was able to pull the car off an off ramp and park it safely. I called a tow service to take it to the nearest Hyundai. The dealership verified the alternator was bad, but later found that the tensioner assembly had also failed and would have caused serious damage if they had not caught it. The vehicle has since been repaired under warranty, but I researched and found this is a common failed item. The vehicle only has 33,253 miles on it, and is barely 2 years old. Alternators should not fail like that. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
