I am reporting a recurring shudder/vibration condition in my 2024 Ford Maverick XL Hybrid. The vehicle currently has approximately 62,241 miles. The problem occurs during acceleration, generally between approximately 15 and 60 mph and started at just over 60,000 miles. The vehicle develops a pronounced shudder/vibration that feels similar to driving over a rough road or a rumble strip. The condition is repeatable and occurs during normal driving and acceleration. There are currently no warning lights illuminated and, to my knowledge, no diagnostic trouble codes have been identified. I am concerned that this may represent a drivetrain or transmission-related defect that could affect the safe operation of the vehicle, particularly if the condition worsens or results in a loss of smooth or predictable acceleration. I have become aware of Ford SSM 54797, which was issued in 2026 and addresses 2022–2026 Ford Maverick vehicles equipped with the 8F35 transmission. The service message states that affected vehicles may exhibit a shudder condition, most noticeable at speeds below 60 mph, with no relevant diagnostic trouble codes stored in the powertrain control module. It identifies the torque converter as a possible cause and provides a repair procedure involving the torque converter and related transmission components. The symptoms I am experiencing appear similar to the condition described in this Ford service communication. The vehicle is now just outside its applicable warranty coverage, which also makes it important to me that the condition be documented with NHTSA. I am requesting that NHTSA record this complaint and consider whether similar complaints involving the 2022–2026 Ford Maverick indicate a broader safety-related defect or trend.

While driving at highway speed on I-275with cruise control engaged on afternoon of June 11 the truck suddenly began slowing down. I couldn't get it to accelerate. I ultimately had to get over two lanes and still had enough momentum to get off an exit ramp. At the end of the ramp, I noticed I was unable to get the truck to accelerate from a stopped position either. Only then did I notice the dial transmission had moved to N from D. I did not initiate this move while I was on the highway, nor was I aware of it, nor do I believe I bumped the dial. This is the second time this has happened. Previously it occurred some time in late 2025 in a store parking lot. At highway speeds, this is extremely dangerous.

SENCE PURCHACED the truck has a tie rod rattle, I have spoken to dealership and was informed no issue found. But as of late Vehicle wobbles very harshly when execrating or pulling away from stop signs passing another vehicle. Turns out it's a VERY common CV axle issue that the dealership doesn't have any sort of recall on. Feels very very unsafe to drive and its disappointing to see so many other drivers with the exact same issue with the tie rod ends. Now a recall on some of the mavericks suspension AKA tie rod installed wrong/ defective with a DO NOT DRIVE WARNING?

My 2024 Ford Maverick (VIN [XXX] ) has had three sudden losses of drive power while driving. Each time the accelerator stopped delivering power with NO warning lights, no error messages, and no dashboard indicators before, during, or after. Each time I pulled over, shut off the vehicle, and restarting fully restored normal function. Incident 1 — Aug 2024, two-lane highway, New Mexico. Clear, ~80°F, light traffic, ~60 mph. Accelerator suddenly lost power, no indicators. Pulled to shoulder; restart restored function. Incident 2 — XXX, ~6:10 PM, XXX northbound on-ramp from [XXX] . While accelerating up the ramp to merge, power cut out — same behavior, no warnings. Pulled over; restart restored function. Incident 3 —XXX, ~8:05 AM, [XXX] . Slowed for a turn; no power when I accelerated out. Same signature. These symptoms are identical to NHTSA Recall 24V-267 (Ford 24S24) — loss of motive power from the BCM/PCM failing to detect 12V battery degradation — and the follow-on battery recall 25V-158 (Ford 25S26). My vehicle is a 2024 Maverick and is NOT included in 24V-267, which Ford limited to 2022-2023 Mavericks built Feb 2021–Oct 2022. I am reporting because my 2024 shows the identical failure mode, including the total absence of warning before power loss, matching the owner reports that prompted Recall Query RQ24014 into the adequacy of the 24V-267 remedy. I request NHTSA consider whether the affected population should include model year 2024 Mavericks. These events are recurring and have occurred at highway speed and while merging, creating a serious crash risk. Over the past 1-1/2 years I have experienced my transmission going into neutral and loss of power 4 times. The first time it happened I thought my hand hit the shifter and moved it into neutral. After a few more incidents and seeing the recall, I realized this was the cause of the issue. I noticed the NHTSA website has recall number 25V881000. Today I contacted Ford Motor Company regarding this recall and they do not show it against my 2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid. I have experienced the problem as indicated below and have not received a recall letter on this. Was my VIN left out of this recall? Dates were between November 2024- February 2026 Incidents occurred between 40-75 mph Mileages between 4000-12000 Very scary losing power on the expressway with lots of traffic Recall date 2025-12-17 Recall no. 25V881000 Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Maverick Hybrid and 2020 Escape Hybrid vehicles. The Hybrid Powertrain Control Module (HPCM) software may cause the vehicle to shift into neutral unexpectedly, causing a loss of drive power. Hide details Recall consequence A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. Recall action Dealers will update the HPCM software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 12, 2026. Owners may contact Ford customer service at [XXX] . Ford's number for this recall is 24S33. At approximately 10 pm driving on the interstate at approximately 65 mph, I was attempting to accelerate to 70 mph and my speedometer was decreasing in speed even though I had my foot on the accelerator. I had to pull off to the side of the interstate that has a very narrow shoulder. My car was not able to accelerate. I had to turn it off and turn it back on and then it appeared to work as usual. This has happened twice now. I took it into the dealership to have it fixed and they said they updated the control module unit and replaced my battery due to other issues I’ve been having with the car. No warning lights came on, and the car still appeared to be on and in drive when the incident occurred. The component has been inspected and the dealership said they repaired the issue, which was not the case, due to the same thing reoccurring approximately 10 days after the “repair” was made.
