PLEASE REFERENCE NHTSA CAMPAIGN #92V006000. OUR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH STARTED "STICKING" IN JANUARY 2001. IT WOULD OPEN EVENTUALLY AFTER SEVERAL TRIES. IN JANUARY 2002 HOWEVER, IT COMPLETELY STOPPED OPENING AT ALL. WE HAVE TO HAVE THE IGNITION SWITCH ON AND ROLL DOWN THE POWER WINDOW AND REACH OUT TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSI…

PLEASE REFERENCE NHTSA CAMPAIGN #92V006000. OUR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH STARTED "STICKING" IN JANUARY 2001. IT WOULD OPEN EVENTUALLY AFTER SEVERAL TRIES. IN JANUARY 2002 HOWEVER, IT COMPLETELY STOPPED OPENING AT ALL. WE HAVE TO HAVE THE IGNITION SWITCH ON AND ROLL DOWN THE POWER WINDOW AND REACH OUT TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. WE CONTACTED OUR LOCAL DEALER HERE IN WASILLA, ALASKA, WHO IS NYE FORD AND WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL IS NOT IN THEIR SYSTEM WITH FORD AND THEREFORE, THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF THE REPAIR. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE DEALER ON RECALL MATTERS. I AM SUBMITTING A SEPARATE COMPLAINT FOR SAID PREVIOUS ISSUE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO TO GET THIS DOOR LATCH REPAIRED. THANK YOU.*AK
