The affected wiring was associated with the rear-axle/rear electrical system. In August 2026, a second, separate dog-related incident again resulted in extensive wiring damage. Ford ordered multiple wiring components to repair the vehicle, including RL3Z-13A409-F, RL3Z-14A411-B, TL3Z-13A576-AFA, and TL3Z-15K857-A. These components include major wiring assemblies and wiring associated with the ABS/wheel-speed sensing system. My concern is not simply the damage caused by the incidents, but the apparent vulnerability and accessibility of critical wiring on the vehicle. Two separate incidents within approximately five months resulted in substantial wiring damage and replacement of multiple harnesses and electrical components. Damage to wiring associated with braking, ABS/wheel-speed sensing, lighting, or other vehicle systems could potentially cause loss or malfunction of safety-related functions. I am requesting that NHTSA document and review these incidents to determine whether the routing, shielding, protection, or accessibility of wiring harnesses on the 2025 Ford F-150 presents a potential safety defect or broader safety-related trend.
