WHILE TRAVELING AT SPEEDS OF 55 MPH, THE CONTACT BEGAN TO SMELL DIESEL FUEL AND WITHIN 15 MILES OF TRAVEL, THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR FELL FROM ONE HALF OF THE TANK TO EMPTY. THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THE FUEL INJECTOR HAD FRACTURED FROM THE FUEL PUMP TO THE CYLINDER. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 119,000.
