DEALER HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL, HOWEVER SECOND SET OF LOWER BALL JOINTS ONLY LASTED 11,000 TO 12,000 MILES. WHEN GETTING THE VEHICLE ALIGNED I WAS TOLD THE PITMAN ARM AN IDLER ARM ARE WORN EXCESSIVELY. I AM BEING TOLD THAT THIS IS NOT A NORMAL OCCURRENCE. I AM CONCERNED WITH THE HIGH RATE OF WEAR ON THESE STEERING COMPONENTS. THE VEHICLE IS NOT "OFF ROADED". IT IS USED AS A COMMUTER VEHICLE BY MY WIFE. THE VEHICLE HAS THE ORIGINAL TIRES AND THE SUSPENSION HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED. AT THIS POINT MY DEALER HAS NOT YET BEEN ABLE TO INSPECT THE LATEST PROBLEM DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS I HAVE HAD, NOT THE DEALERS FAULT. I HAVE RECENTLY NOTIFIED CHEVROLET OF MY CONCERN, BUT HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM THEM. IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM? I DO BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.
LEFT FRONT ELECTRIC WINDOW MOTOR FAILED AND THE REGULATOR FAILED. *SLC
RING AND PINION GEAR AND REAR DIFFERENTIAL WERE REPLACED TWICE. ALSO STEERING IDLER ARM AND THE SPEED SENSOR HAV E BEEN REPLACED. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
CONSUMER WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH ,TRIED TO CHANGE LANES AND VEHICLE SLID. ATTEMPTED TO GO BACK INTO ORIGINAL LANE AND VEHICLE ROLLED OVER, CAUSING INJURIES. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED THERE IS ALOT OF CLUNKING ANDLOOSENSS IN FRONT END. DEALER CONTACTED AND CANNOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM. ANOTHER DEALER STATED THAT IDLER ARM MALFUNCTIONED. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
THE STEERING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING THE STEERING SYSTEM TO BE INOPERATIVE AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. ALSO, PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE BOOSTER AND REAR AXLE. PLEASE PROVIDE DETAILS. *AK
STEERING PULLS SEVERLY TO THE RIGHT. GM IS CURRENTLY CONDUCTING TESTS WITH THE VEHICLE.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES FAIL TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 108, "LAMPS, REFLECTIVE DEVICES, AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT." THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS BUILT WITH A CANDELA VALUE GREATER THAN 3,000 CANNOT BE MOUNTED HIGHER THAN 864MM ABOVE THE ROAD SURFACE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THESE VEHICLES DO NOT COMPLY WITH REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS NO. 108.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A REVISED WIRING HARNESS THAT CHANGES THE DRL'S FROM HIGH BEAM TO LOW BEAM DRL'S, AND INSTALL NEW LONG-LIFE LOW BEAM BULBS.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: MULTI-PURPOSE PASSENGER VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH 4-WHEEL DRIVE OR ALL-WHEEL-DRIVE. ONE OR BOTH OF THE ATTACHING NUTS FOR THE RIGHT-HAND LOWER CONTROL ARM ARE UNDER TORQUED. THIS CAN ALLOW THE ATTACHMENT BOLT TO LOOSEN AND SUBSEQUENT BREAK RESULTING IN SEPARATION OF THE LOWER CONTROL ARM FROM THE FRAME.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CONDITION CAN RESULT IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND RETIGHTEN THE RIGHT-HAND LOWER CONTROL ARM NUTS TO THE PROPER TORQUE SPECIFICATION.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: LIGHT DUTY PICKUP TRUCKS AND MULTI-PURPOSE PASSENGER VEHICLES. A FATIGUE FRACTURE OF THE REAR AXLE RIGHT-HAND BRAKE PIPE CAN OCCUR CAUSING A SLOW BRAKE FLUID LEAK RESULTING IN A SOFT BRAKE PEDAL. IF THE BRAKE PIPE BREAKS, THE DRIVER WOULD EXPERIENCE A SUDDEN DROP IN THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BRAKE LIGHT WOULD ILLUMINATE, AND THERE WOULD BE A LOSS OF REAR BRAKE PERFORMANCE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: PARTIAL LOSS OF BRAKING AT A TIME WHEN MINIMUM STOPPING DISTANCE WAS REQUIRED COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE BRAKE PIPE.
