VSS FAULT WITH LIMP HOME MODE CAME ON WHEN ATTEMPTING TO GET ON A HIGHWAY WITH SPEEDS GREATER THAN 55 MPH, THIS WAS THE FIRST ATTEMPT. BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SPENT A COUPLE DAYS FIGURING IT IN THE SERVICE DEPT. THEY SAID BAD YAW SENSOR. SO A DAY LATER GETTING ONTO A ROAD WITH SPEEDS OF 50MPH IT KICKS INTO LIMP HOME MODE AND VSS FAULT. THEN 3RD TIME JUST LEFT THE SHOP WAS 3 MILES AWAY IT DID IT AGAIN. THANK GOD NOT ON A HIGHWAY. BUT GETTING OUT ON TO A ROAD FROM A STOP AND IT CUTS OUT AND INTO LIMP HOME MODE AND VSS FAULT. ALL THE CODES ARE THE SAME. C006C C0063. 3 TIMES I ALMOST GOT HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE BECAUSE OF THIS NEW CAN-AM RYKER HAS ISSUES. AND IT CONTINUES. BRP IS NOT HELPING THEIR DEALERS AND DEALER TECHNICIANS TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS. MY DEALER WHO SOLD ME MY BRAND NEW 2022 CAN AM RYKER 600 ACE, HAVE GONE ABOVE AND BEYOND, THEY HAVE GIVEN ME A LOANER VEHICLE TO USE. BUT BRP IS NOT HELPING THEM RESOLVE THE ISSUES. THESE UNITS ARE GETTING DANGEROUS.

The contact owns a 2022 Can-Am Ryker motorcycle. The contact stated while riding 60 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power with the parking brake warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,300.

Driving ryker down road at speeds of 55 mph and motorcycle shuts down. All power lost instrument panel off. Was able to pull over to side of road fortunately. Computer says VSS fault will not start. A Facebook member of a group suggested I check number 7 fuse. I did and it was blown. It says it’s for electrical module. It’s 10 amps. I replaced and bike worked again. Next day it blows at an intersection when I’m stopped at a light in traffic. No power again. Pull over and blown number 7 fuse again.
Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (Bombardier) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles. The impeller may swell, causing the high-pressure fuel pump to fail.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 27, 2024. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Bombardier's number for this recall is Bulletin 2023-10.
Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Spyder RT and 2022-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The brake lights may stay illuminated even if the brake pedal is not pressed. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Brake lights that remain illuminated can fail to alert other motorists of the rider's intention and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Depending on the model, dealers will replace the brake light switch, adjust the brake light switch, and/or add a spring to the brake light switch, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2023. Owners may contact BRP Customer Service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this recall is 2023-6.
Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The position light and flasher electrical harnesses in the front fenders may loosen and rub on the tire, leading to a short circuit and resulting in an engine stall while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the two harnesses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2022. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222.
Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2022 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles. The handlebar stem bolt may break unexpectedly due to insufficient thread length.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A broken handlebar stem bolt can cause a sudden loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised to not ride their motorcycle until the remedy is complete. Dealers will clean the threads of the steering column and install a new steering stem bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2022. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this recall is 2022-16.
