IllustrationBrake light stays illuminated even when brakes are not engaged. Upon research internet shows this is a recall issue affecting 35,000+ can-am rykers but when I contact my dealer they say that it is not a recall. Can someone please look into this? I believe it should absolutely be a recall and fixed at no cost.

The contact owns a 2023 Can-Am Ryker. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle shuddered. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was performing normally. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the tires needed to be replaced and balanced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 0.8.

Common problem amongst Can Am Ryker riders. When making a sweeping left turn between 20-40 mph, the right front wheel will brake/accelerate on it's own and the bike will jerk. It also causes the right wheel to wobble forcing me to accelerate or decelerate to retain control of the bike. I quick google search produced hundreds of other riders experiencing the same issue and that BRP/Can Am does not have a permanent fix for this issue. I love riding my Ryker, but have avoided it for anything more than a couple mile ride to the store for fear of losing control or being rear ended when it decelerates on it's own. Please investigate.

The contact also stated that the failure usually occurred while driving above 20 MPH. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the yaw sensor had caused the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
When making left turns the computer causes the left turn to become unsafe, a feeling in the steering line a flat tire, or otherwise causing over steering and can result in accidents due to the faulty computer system. When making left turns the computer causes the left turn to become unsafe, a feeling in the steering line a flat tire, or otherwise causing over steering and can result in accidents due to the faulty computer system. Issue appears to effect many Can Am Rykers, it is a known defect per the dealers, and even through 4 years of production Can Am has failed to resolve this known issue. There is no solution or work around, except to put up with it. The vehicle stabilize computer system caused intermittent "limp mode" problems after or during the left turn also

Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (Bombardier) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles. The impeller may swell, causing the high-pressure fuel pump to fail.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 27, 2024. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Bombardier's number for this recall is Bulletin 2023-10.

Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Spyder RT and 2022-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The brake lights may stay illuminated even if the brake pedal is not pressed. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Brake lights that remain illuminated can fail to alert other motorists of the rider's intention and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Depending on the model, dealers will replace the brake light switch, adjust the brake light switch, and/or add a spring to the brake light switch, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2023. Owners may contact BRP Customer Service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this recall is 2023-6.

Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The position light and flasher electrical harnesses in the front fenders may loosen and rub on the tire, leading to a short circuit and resulting in an engine stall while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the two harnesses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2022. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222.
