DECORATIVE REAR AXLE COVERS, WHICH ARE HELD IN PLACE BY WHEEL RIM LUG NUTS, DO NOT ALLOW THE LUG NUTS TO RETAIN THE PROPER TORQUE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: LUG NUTS COULD LOOSEN, ALLOWING THE WHEEL TO SEPARATEFROM THE HUB, WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: REPLACE DECORATIVE AXLE COVERS WITH COVERS WHICH HAVE BEEN CORRECTLY MANUFACTURED.
