The contact owns a 2000 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and unoccupied for under an hour, a fire started inside the cabin of the vehicle. The fire was self-extinguished. Neither a Fire Department nor a Police report was filed. The vehicle was not destroyed; however, the middle interior of the center console was destroyed. The vehicle was towed to the residence, and an independent mechanic inspected the vehicle and informed the contact that the fire had originated in the power outlet. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 200,000.
