Summary

INSUFFICIENT MATERIAL THICKNESS IN THE REAR SUSPENSION LOWER SPRING SEATS MAY ALLOW THE SEAT TO FLEX AND BREAK THE SEAT-TO-AXLE WELD.

DEALER WILL INSPECT AND, IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THE LOWER SPRING SEATS, WITHOUT CHARGE TO OWNER.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRUCKS.SYSTEM: SUSPENSION; SPRING SEATS.CONSEQUENCES OF DEFECT: DISLOCATION OF THE AXLE, WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THESUSPENSION U-BOLTS AND HANGER BRACKETS COULD CAUSE MISALIGNMENT OF THE MID ANDREAR AXLE. THIS COULD CAUSE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.
