204 reportsCONSUMER TRIED TO START VEHICLE WHILE PAWL IS ON PARK THE VEHICLE WON'T START THEN CONSUMER HAS TO MOVE PAWL TO NEUTRAL SO SHE COULD START VEHICLE, AND THAT BEEN HAPPENING FOR LONG TIME. DEALER CONTACTED. *AK
TRANSMISSION FAILED.
GOING AROUND A CORNER WITH THE STEERING WHEEL IN THE MIDDLE POSITION, THE TILT FAILED. THIS CAUSED THE STEERING WHEEL TO MOVE UP AND DOWN FREELY TO THE POINT STEERING WAS VERY DIFFICULT.
BRAKES FAILED.
INGNITION WILL NOT TURN WHEN KEY IS INITIALLY INSERTED INTO SWITCH. AFTER TAPPING/HITTING KEY SEVERAL TIMES, WHILE IN IGNITION , IT WILL EVENUTALLY TURN. THE SAFETY MECHANISM THAT IS INCORPORATED INTO THE IGNITION SWITCH DOES NOT FUNCTION.
OXYGEN SENSOR FAILED, CAUSING STALLING.
CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD/CRACKED HEAD GASKET, BRAKES ROTORS REPLACED PRIOR TO SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AT APPROXIMATELY 20,000 MILES AND 43,000 MILES.
FRONT BACK REST OF SEAT FLIPPED FORWARD DURING EMERGENCY STOPPING.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE.

THE NEUTRAL START SAFETY SWITCH COULD HAVE BEEN FRACTURED DURING INSTALLATION.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A FRACTURED SWITCH CAN RESULT IN A NO-START CONDITION.ALSO, A VEHICLE WITH A FRACTURED SWITCH CAN BE STARTED IN GEAR, CAUSING THEVEHICLE TO MOVE UNEXPECTEDLY, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: THE DEALER WILL REPLACE THE NEUTRAL START SWITCH. THE MANUAL SWITCH OF THE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY WILL BE INSPECTED AND REPLACED IF AN OVERSIZED CONDITION EXISTS.
