I WAS STOPPING FOR A RED LIGHT AND NOTICED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT STOPPING NORMALLY. I REALIZED THAT PART OF MY SHOE WAS STILL ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WHEN I INTENDED IT TO BE ONLY ON THE BRAKE. THIS HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. I NOTICED THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL ARE EXACTLY IN LINE WITH EACH OTHER AND VERY CLOSE TOGETHER. EVERY OTHER CAR I HAVE EVER DRIVEN HAD AN OFFSET BETWEEN THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING. I CONTACTED MASERATI BUT THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOLD ME THAT EVERY GRANTURISMO IS DESIGNED THIS WAY AND THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I CONSIDER THIS A VERY DANGEROUS DESIGN DEFECT THAT COULD EASILY ALLOW INADVERTENT ACTUATION OF THE ACCELERATOR WHEN TRYING TO BRAKE CAUSING CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES. I ALSO NOTICED ON THE MASERATI FORUM THAT OTHER GRANTURISMO OWNERS HAD EXPERIENCE THIS SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS. *TR
