The contact owns a 2014 Lincoln Navigator. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, after activating the HVAC system, she heard an abnormal rumbling sound coming from behind the dashboard. As a result, the contact stated that she was unable to fully use the HVAC system, including the defroster, potentially reducing front windshield visibility. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the blower motor. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Customer Satisfaction Program: 22S56 (HVAC), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 122,000.
