IllustrationIN 2013 I BEGAN NOTICED THE DASH BECOMING TACKY AND DIFFICULT TO CLEAN. BY 2015, THE DASH BEGAN TO POOL AND REFLECT SUNLIGHT WHILE DAY DRIVING. SHORTLY AFTER THE POOLING STARTED, THE DASH BEGAN CRACKING AND BECAME SOFT, WITH DAMAGE OCCURRING WHEN TOUCHED.

TOP OF DASH BECOMES EXTREMELY SHINY AND STICKY AFTER 1 HOUR OF SUNLIGHT THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD CASING UNWANTED GLARE IN WINDSCREEN. TEMPORARILY CAN BE CLEANED WITH SOAP AND WATER AND RETURNS TO DULL NON STICKY APPEARANCE, BUT ONLY TEMPORARY. NEXT TIME CAR IS IN THE SUN FOR ABOUT AN HOUR OF DRIVING OR PARKING, THE THE SHININESS AND STICKINESS RETURNS CAUSING MASSIVE REFLECTIONS IN THE WINDSHIELD. MAKES NO DIFFERENCE IF CAR IS STATIONARY OR IN MOTION. NO PRODUCT HAS BEEN USED ON THE DASHBOARD OTHER THAN SOAP AND WATER AS NEEDED. SUSPECT THE UV PROTECTION OR PLASTICS ARE FAILING. CAR ONLY HAS 35K MILES AND IS GARAGE KEPT. THERE WAS A SIMILAR PROBLEM AND LATER CLASS ACTION SUITE FOR OLDER NISSANS AND INFINITI, BUT THE PROBLEM DOESN'T LOOKED TO BE SOLVED IN NEWER CARS.
