2025 Hyundai Tucson

First incident was July 2025 . Car had 1300 miles. Would not accelerate over 25 miles an hour. Made an appointment with Route 60 Hyundai in Vero Bch, Fl. They could not find anything wrong. (invoice # [XXX]) Second time [XXX]. 3009 miles on the speedometer. The car would not accelerate over 4mph. After several minutes acceleration was possible. The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH, the vehicle was swaying from side to side. The connection was not secure to the steering wheel. The contact had to correct the steering wheel. Additionally, there was static on the radio, and the screen was inoperable. The screen went from white to black. When the heat was in the off position, hot air was entering through the vents. There were fumes inside the vehicle. The Forward Collision Avoidance assist, master warning, intelligent driving assist, and forward safety warning lights were illuminated. The local dealer was contacted, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure but was able to reset the radio. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and determined that the vehicle failed to meet the qualification for the Lemon Law. The failure mileage was approximately 500.

Control screen keeps going randomly blank, for different periods of time, putting the driver at risk, because the vehicle information, including speed, lights, wipers, basically everything is displayed in this screen. Sometimes the sentence NO SIGNAL shows up. I had experienced several scary situations, specially in freeways when raining, you have zero driving information. The car has been to the dealership service 4 times, with different tentatives of repair, none of which worked. The last time my car was at the dealership service for 25 days and after 2 days the problem was back, even worse. Sometimes all the lights of the control screen light up, with no reason and keep on even after the car is turned off. This is our only car and we need it, but the car is absolutely unsafe and unreliable. I refuse to leave the car for a 5th time, Hyundai has no idea what the issue is and obviously cannot fix it. The lane assist is also malfunctioning, sometimes the warning system doesn’t work properly. Twice the car emergency brakes stopped the car abruptly without a reason to do so (no risk of collision, no car or object in front ). One of those times the car behind me almost hit me, because the stop was abrupt and for no reason. I have many videos and pictures, but apparently I cannot upload the videos in this form. I have the paperwork, but Hyundai refused to refund for the vehicle. I highly recommend an investigation, Hyundai is getting away with a very serious problem and someone will get hurt as a result of these issues. Thank you for the attention.

The contact purchased a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact discovered a mileage discrepancy after purchasing the vehicle. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 77. It was later discovered that the mileage on the Title was 143. The contact also stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the hazard lights and Forward Collision Avoidance warning lights unexpectedly illuminated without any vehicles nearby. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact was informed by the dealer that the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 4,000.

At least 5 times now when no car was breaking extremely close to me or when I gently touched the breaks the automatic emergency breaking kicked in and slammed the car to a stop. Twice the car behind me had to swerve out of the way and hit another car causing 2 accidents without my car being involved. Once it caused me to hit my head on the steering wheel. This function is more destructive and dangerous than helpful. At no time should my car go from 70 to 0 in a second for no reason, but with this it does. Got the car in the March 2025 so 5 times in 7 months.

9/26/25. Friday late afternoon at 5PM. Driving on the Southern State Parkway in stop and go traffic…. the traffic opens up and we start driving to about 10 MPH, with no emergency present and the car did an emergency stop on it’s own. Frightening experience…it’s amazing we didn’t get rear-ended. This is the third time this happened, but I only documented this time. On Sept.12,2025, I was driving with two family members. i was stopped at a light with the auto on/off engaged. Fortunately, i had my foot on the brake as the engine revved very significantly. I threw the car into neutral and the engine returned to normal. Had I not done so, we would have plowed into two cars in front of us at the light. The car was taken to the dealership; but, they could not duplicate a recurrence in road testing.

The rear brake lights and turn signals on my 2025 Hyundai Tucson are not visible to following drivers due to their low placement and design. Multiple drivers have nearly rear-ended us because they could not see when I was braking or signaling. The lights function electrically, but their position makes them obstructed and not noticeable from normal following distances. This is a serious safety hazard and creates a high risk of rear-end collisions. The dealer confirmed the lights work as designed but cannot change their position. This is a design defect that cannot be repaired and should be investigated for recall.
