Vehicle Information: 2024 Hyundai TucsonComponent: Service Brakes, Hydraulic: Foundation Components: Disc: RotorComplaint Text:I am writing to report a severe, premature manufacturing defect regarding the braking system on my 2024 Hyundai Tucson. At approximately [Insert Your Mileage, e.g., 12,000] miles, the vehicle began experiencing violent shaking and vibration in the steering wheel and brake pedal when applying the brakes.Upon inspection, it was determined that all four factory brake rotors had warped. Shaking of this magnitude during braking compromises vehicle control and poses a distinct safety hazard, especially during high-speed or emergency braking maneuvers.Hyundai is fully aware of this defect. They previously issued Technical Service Bulletin TSB 23-BR-004H detailing an identical "brake judder" engineering flaw for 2022–2023 models. Despite the 2024 model utilizing the exact same braking architecture, Hyundai has not extended the TSB coverage to the 2024 model year. As a result, the dealership classified this premature failure as normal "wear and tear" and forced me to pay out of pocket for resurfacing all four rotors.A vehicle should not suffer total, four-wheel rotor warping at this low mileage. This is a systemic material defect that Hyundai is actively forcing consumers to pay for. I am requesting a formal safety investigation.

The contact owns a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V893000 (Trailer Hitches); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the remedy to be available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the trailer wiring harness was removed, and a dust cap was installed over the wiring receptacle. The dealer had not replaced the tow hitch electrical harness. The contact stated that because the tow hitch electrical harness was not replaced, the vehicle was no longer able to be used for towing. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, and a case had been opened. The manufacturer confirmed that the tow hitch electrical harness would be replaced but could not provide a time frame for when the part would be available. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.

On 6 occasions over the last 2 months when coming to a stop the engine will increase rpm to 1600 forcing much extra brake pressure to stop, forcing me to shutoff the engine. No codes or indicators and the dealer can't duplicate. I mentioned to the dealer that the car will accelerate while holding down the brake thinking that as a clue as to what's wrong and the service tech told me that is normal but as far as I know it isn't normal. I don't know what to do.

I have a 2024 Hyundai Tuscon SLE that I purchased new and several months ago there was a recall on the trailer hitch wiring. I took the car to Hyundai and they removed the wiring harness hitch due to a fire danager. Todate I have not received a replacement hiring harness, so my vehicle is now useless for pulling a trailer for several months. (The spring and summer months are when I use this the most and have not been able to.) All I hear from Hyundai is that they do not have a cure for this. I notice that the 2025 and 2026 models have a wiring harness on them that do not need replacing. I need something done ASAP regarding this matter. Why has NOTHING been done regarding this replacement? It has been MUCH TOO LONG! Is there ANYONE at your organization that can help me with this matter ASAP!!!! Thank you.

The air conditioning system in my 2024 Hyundai Tucson has never adequately cooled the cabin during high outdoor temperatures, since I purchased the vehicle. The vehicle is parked outdoors in direct sunlight daily, as I have no garage or carport access, and the issue is most severe and consistent during hot weather. This creates a heat exposure risk while driving, particularly on hot days when cabin temperatures remain uncomfortably high despite the AC running and set to the coldest setting. Prolonged exposure to excessive cabin heat can pose a safety risk, including impaired driver alertness and general heat-related discomfort/health risk. I brought the vehicle to CMA's Hyundai of Lynchburg on July 9, 2025 to report this issue; the dealership found no fault and stated the AC was working correctly. I brought the vehicle in again on August 11, 2026 with the same complaint; the dealership again reported the AC was blowing air at the correct temperature, with no fault identified. The vehicle has been inspected and is available for further inspection upon request. There were no dashboard warning lights or messages associated with this issue. The problem has been consistent since I've owned the vehicle, and is worse specifically in hot weather.

On 7/29/2026, the vehicle experienced a critical safety failure involving the electronic transmission shift-by-wire system, resulting in an unintended rollaway after the ignition was turned off. While parked on an incline, the driver depressed the brake pedal and pressed the Engine Start/Stop button while the vehicle was still positioned in Drive (D). The engine shut off completely. According to factory safety design and vehicle specifications, cutting the ignition in this state is engineered to automatically trigger an electronic command to shift the transmission into Park (P). However, the vehicle failed to execute this electronic fail-safe. The electronic parking pawl did not engage, and the vehicle effectively defaulted into an un-geared Neutral state. Upon the driver releasing the brake pedal, the unanchored vehicle immediately rolled down the incline with the engine completely powered off. No audible warning chimes or dashboard fault lights were activated prior to or during the event to alert the driver that the transmission had failed to secure the vehicle.
