The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while parking the vehicle, he attempted to lock the door manually; however, the door failed to lock as needed. The contact stated that the door could only be securely locked by using the key fob. The contact stated that the door failed to lock as designed. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the vehicle operated as designed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 45.
