WHEN OPERATED AT A HIGH SPEED, THE FRONT WIPER ARM CONNECTION TO THE WIPER DRIVE PIVOT SHAFT CAN LOOSEN CAUSING THE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM TO FAIL.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: LOSS OF WIPER FUNCTION RESULTS IN REDUCED VISIBILITY FOR THE DRIVER IN INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS AND INCREASES THE RISK OF AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE WIPER SYSTEMS WITH A DIFFERENT WIPER SYSTEM DESIGN.
