TWO LATCHES MOUNTED ON EACH SIDE OF THE REAR ENGINE ACCESS COVER AND SECURE THE COVER WHEN THE MOTORHOME IS IN TRANSIT WERE NOT POSITIONED CORRECTLY.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THE LATCHES WERE NOT CONSISTENTLY POSITIONED IN THE SAME LOCATION ON THE ENGINE COVER TO OBTAIN POSITIVE CONTACT AND COULD COME LOOSE UNDER CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITIONS.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL STRAIGHTEN OUT THE LATCH TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL LENGTH REQUIRED TO ENSURE POSITIVE CONTACT TO SECURE THE ENGINE COVER.

THE 12 VOLT BUSS BAR AND TERMINAL CONNECTOR LUG POST WERE INSTALLED WITHOUT A PROTECTIVE COVER. THESE COMPONENTS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO POTENTIAL SHORTING UPON CONTACT BY ANY TYPE OF METAL FOREIGN OBJECT.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CONDITION CAN CAUSE A SHORT CIRCUIT AND A POTENTIALFIRE HAZARD.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A PROTECTIVE SHIELD TO COVER THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS.
