The truck was being towed behind a motor home, while making a normal left turn from a complete stop the truck began swing wildly from side to side (death wobble). After stopping I found a dash warning "Steering Assist Fault, Service Required" and "Drive Mode Not Available". At that time the truck steering was very difficult to turn, the truck was not drivable. This is the second time this has happened. In June 2024 the exact same thing happened. Ford replaced the steering assembly (twice, the first part was defective) under warranty. I believe this to be a safety hazard. I tow the truck behind the motor home in order to have reliable transportation when I arrive to a destination and also to provide a safe way to get help if some incident occurs while on the road (motor home break down) or for an emergency at the destination. Both steering assist incidents occurred when I was in a remote area with no cell service or internet service. Had there been any kind of medical emergency it could have had unwelcome results.

2023 Maverik Hybrid at around 30,000 miles Vehicle would start shaking while accelerating. I took it to the dealership and they had to replace all the components in the front end of the truck. I know have about 60,000 miles on the vehicle and I'm having the same shaking problem while accelerating. It looks like this is a common occurrence with this vehicle. It is no longer under warranty and is going to cost a lot to get fixed. Not excited about having a major repair every 30,000 miles.

Cv axles went out at 55k causing shaking at highway speeds while accelerating. Frequently when starting the car the steering wont activate right away even after the car begins to move for 5-10 feet. Dealer cant replicate because it doesnt happen every time. But it is still doing it and may cause a crash in the future....

Started to develop a rumble/stumble upon acceleration. It seems to be getting worse. Finally took it in the dealer. The dealer confirmed that it is the CV axles. They need replacing. Started to develop a rumble/stumble upon acceleration. It seems to be getting worse. Finally took it in the dealer. The dealer confirmed that it is the CV axles. They need replacing. Dealer said no parts in stock and not sure when they will arrive. WTH. I asked about driving and they said keep on motoring. What. How can this be good for all the other connected parts! It shutters so bad I am not confident it will not cause me to have an accident. This is a major issue with the drive-line components. Ford needs to issue a recall and redesign this part or I will be replacing these again at my cost. I only have 39k milage

For no reason the truck would not start. No electric signal at all inside the truck either. Also the ignition and steering were locked. Called Ford to send out someone to jump the truck. It then started right away. Also took to the Ford dealer to have them check it out. They could find nothing wrong. I also have had a problem with the truck not starting after driving it and then parking it. The battery will not respond, igniton will not work, not able to shift it at all. Completely locked up. I have to try starting the truck another couple of times for the green READY to come on. This is concerning as I do not understand why the truck locks up. This has happened on at least four occasions since I purchased this truck at the end of June 2023
