Brakes failed - low brake fluid light came on - upon startup - putting vehicle in gear multiple warning lights came on - brake pedal went all the way to the floor - reduced stopping capability - an accident waiting to happen Dealership replaced 3 of 4 brake hoses; two hoses had bubbles and the third had ruptured A day earlier brakes were spongy

Was driving my cat and it popped up shift system fault. I couldn't move my car. It stalled in the middle of the road. I contacted several people about this. Found out the shifter cable came loose from the transmission. The clamp that hold its on was gone.i happened to just backed up and this happened. If this was to happen driving this could have resulted in a serious accident

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 15 mph, the front driver’s side tire became flat. The contact attempted to change the tire but was unable to remove the lug nuts. The contact called AAA however, roadside assistance was also unable to remove the lug nuts. The contact stated that the lug nuts were swollen due to the heat. The vehicle was then towed to a local dealer. The mechanic removed the lug nuts and repaired the tire. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 32,528.

After driving on the highway approximately 30 miles I came to a stop sign. Stopped and went to accurate again, car shifted so hard it felt like someone rear ended me. Got to the next stop sign not even a quarter mile down the road. Stopped began to accelerate and it happened again. Continued my trek onto the freeway, car drive fine, shifted gears fine. After about an hour on the freeway I came into traffic, stopped, began to accelerate again and the same thing happened. This time my car began to violently shake. I pulled over to the side of the road. The wrench icon popped up on my dash. I shut the vehicle off. After sometime attempted to start the vehicle again to see if I could limp it to the next exit, vehicle continued shaking violently. Had to have vehicle towed off the road. Currently waiting to get it into a Ford deal ship for diagnostic. Car is still inoperable. Consumer had it diagnosed by a Ford dealership who confirmed it is an internal manufacturer failure. Vehicle was manufactured in April 2017 and the recall is for cars manufactured May 2017- June 2017. Consumer contacted the Ford company asking for help, but no help was offered.

MY 2017 FUSION, WITH ECOBOOST ENGINE BEGAN USING COOLANT, REPLACED SPARK PLUG IN 2ND CYLINDER AND CONTINUALLY HAVE TO ADD COOLANT TO KEEP CAR FROM OVERHEATING. CAR SHUT DOWN AND OVERHEATED ON WAY HOME FROM WORK. ADDED EVEN MORE COOLANT. FORD NOW TELLS ME WE HAVE TO HAVE A NEW ENGINE AND WE ARE OUT OF WARRANTY SINCE CAR HAS 80K MILES ON IT. $5900 NEW ENGINE BECAUSE A KNOWN ISSUE HASN'T BEEN ADDRESSED BY FORD TO MAKE IT RIGHT.

THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO TAYLOR FORD OF MANTENO (222 S LOCUST ST, MANTENO, IL 60950) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE BLOCK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. HE WAS THEN REFERRED TO THE NHTSA FOR ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 55,000.

VEHICLE HAD 62579 MILES WHEN IT THREW A P1299 CODE FOR ENGINE OVERHEAT. FORD CHECKED AND SAID THE ENGINE WAS LEAKING COOLANT INTO THE CYLINDERS AND IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM ON THE 1.5 L ECO BOOST ENGINE AS PER TSB 20-2100. THEY ALSO SAID IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY DUE TO BEING OVER 60000 MILES. FROM RESEARCH IT LOOKS LIKE FORD HAS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THIS ENGINE AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO STAND BEHIND IT AND FIX IT AS THEY SHOULD.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10-20 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO DECELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT CHECKED AND VERIFIED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE PROPER GEAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND STOPPED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE HOWEVER, THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO SHIFT OUT OF PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SHIFTER LINK BUSHING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CHANGE OIL AND FILTER NOTIFICATION APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT HAD THE OIL CHANGE SERVICE PERFORMED HOWEVER, 50 MILES LATER, THE NOTIFICATION RETURNED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 27,143.
