I ALMOST DIED AS A RESULT OF MY WINDSHIELD BECOMING COVERED WITH SALT AND MY BEING UNABLE TO SEE THROUGH IT. MY WINDOWS WERE FROZEN SHUT SO I COULDN'T OPEN THEM AND LOOK AHEAD AT THE ROAD. MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS DID NOT CLEAR OFF THE SALT. THE FLUID WOULD NOT SPRAY.

(MOTOR HOME) IT HAS BEEN REPORTED ON SEVERAL RV BULLETIN BOARDS ON THE INTERNET THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE NEW FORD TRUCK CHASSIS THAT IS BEING USED IN CLASS A MOTOR HOME PRODUCTION. AT FREEZING TEMPERATURES, THE CABLE BETWEEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND THE THROTTLE CONTROL IS FREEZING. IF ONE IS TRAVELING AT 70 MPH (AS ONE PERSON REPORTED), THEN THE THROTTLE IS FROZEN AT 70 MPH, AND ONE HAS NO WAY TO REDUCE SPEED. SHUTTING OFF THE ENGINE WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL SHOT OVER A 20 FOOT EMBANKMENT FOR THE SAME REASON. NEITHER HAD RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM FORD REGARDING THE SITUATION. OTHERS HAVE FOUND THAT FORD IS NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE A TIMELY REPLACEMENT. A WEEK AGO, FORD WAS ALLEGEDLY REPORTING THAT THERE WERE NO REPLACEMENTS NATION-WIDE. THE PROBLEM IS NOT LIMITED TO ANY ONE MOTORHOME MANUFACTURER. IT IS ANY MOTORHOMES THAT ARE BUILT ON THE FORD CLASS A CHASSIS WITH THE V-10 ENGINE. SOME WHO HAVE CALLED FORD, STATE THAT FORD DOES NOT SEEM TO THINK IT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. I DISAGREE AND I WOULD ASK THAT YOU INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION BEFORE SOMEONE NEEDLESSLY DIES. THANK YOU.
DRIVER SIDE POWERED TRAILER TOW MIRROR DEFECTIVE, LOWER ANGLE SECTION GLUED ON WRONG AND INSTALLED INCORRECTLY CAUSING THE MIRROR TO CRACK AND VISUAL PROBLEMS.
