2015 Ford Expedition

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 - 65 MPH, another vehicle struck the contact's front driver's side, causing the contact's vehicle to spin. The vehicle then crashed into the side embankment wall. The air bags did not deploy. The impact caused the contact's chest to hit the steering wheel. The contact suffered a fractured sternum as well as neck and shoulder injuries. The contact's passenger suffered bruising on her neck, shoulder, and chest. The contact and her passenger were transported by ambulance to the hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the tow yard but was not yet deemed totaled by the insurance company. I CONTACTED FORD LAST NIGHT AND THEY REFERRED MY TO MY DEALERSHIP AND WHEN I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THEY DON'T MAKE THE CARS! I JUST WANT ANSWERS.

THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SMOKE ENTERED THE VEHICLE AFTER THE CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT FACILITY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
