The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the RPM increased rapidly, and the contact became aware that the vehicle had downshifted unintendedly, prompting the contact to pull over to the shoulder. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the wheel speed sensor. The vehicle was not repaired.
