TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 CHRYSLER SEBRING COUPE. WHILE MAKING A RIGHT TURN, THERE WAS A LOUD POP SOUND THAT CAME FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE DASHBOARD. THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS FRACTURED AND DETACHING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING PARKED IN THE SUN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V338000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,435.
