N.H.T.A. CASE # [XXX] - ON INCIDENT DATE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN TO WORK.. APPROXIMATELY 12 MINUTES INTO TRIP. SEAT HEATERS WERE TURNED ON.. PASSENGER SIDE SEAT OVERHEATED CAUSING BURN THROUGH TO SEAT CUSHION.. NOTIFIED CHRYSLER IMMEDIATELY.. CHRYSLER SENT CONTRACT INVESTIGATOR ( [XXX]).. RECEIVED NOTIFICATION FROM CHRYSLER THAT NO INDICATION OF MANUFACTURING DEFECT WAS A CAUSE OR CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO BURN ( LETTER DATED 01/23/12 FROM CUSTOMER CLAIMS RESOLUTION GROUP 1-888 922-7329).. HAD DIAGNOSTIC TEST PERFORMED ON 01/30/12 INDICATING NEED TO REPLACE SEAT HEATER AND COVER.. ( WARNER MOTORS INVOICE #[XXX]).. I BELIEVE A MANUFACTURING DEFECT, AS A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH JEEP CHEROKEE EXISTED (HTTP://WWW.WJJEEPS.COM/TSB/RECALL_F17.PDF)..
