AND I AM CONCERNED THAT THAT COULD HAPPEN AGAIN AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF YOU HAVE SOME PROGRAM TO HAVE MY CAR TAKEN IN AND HAVE THE SEATBELTS REPLACED IN A SAFE POSITION. THE FRONT SEAT BELTS TO NOT RETRACT, THEY ARE USELESS.
RETRACTOR WITHIN DRIVER'D SIDE SHOULDER BELT HAS FAILED, AND DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
THE SEAT BELT DOES NOT TIGHTEN EVEN WITH A SUDDEN STOP, THEY WILL ALLOW THE CARSEATS TO MOVE MORE THAN AN INCH. UNABLE TO CONTACT CHEVROLET TO SEE IF THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH ALL CARS. TRYING TO PREVENT ANY OF MY KIDS HURT IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. *AK
WHEN VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A CRASH, HITTING A CURB AT 35 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT DID NOT LOCK UPON IMPACT, CAUSING DRIVER TO SUFFER INJURIES. *AK
SEAT BELTS ARE ATTACHED TO THE DOOR. THE CONSUMER FEELS THE DESIGN IS DANGEROUS, THAT IN A COLLISION AND DOOR OPENS, THE SEAT BELTS WOULD OFFER NO PROTECTION.

THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT SEAT MANUAL RECLINING MECHANISMS DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FMVSS 207, "SEATING SYSTEMS." THE SEAT BACK MECHANISMS WILL NOT LATCH UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THE SEATS MAY RECLINE WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING, RESULTINGIN A HAZARD TO SEAT OCCUPANTS AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
Remedy: REPLACE THE MANUAL SEAT RECLINER MECHANISM WITH A MECHANISM THAT COMPLIES WITH FMVSS 207.
