Transmission failed and need to be replaced at about 60,300 miles, just after the warranty expired. Told by the dealership multiple times the hard downshifts and odd shift patterns were normal and not an issue. Turns out it was the transmission valve body failing, causing the entire transmission to fail. Components are not available for inspection. I was able to limp the car home and to the dealership as failure was mainly slippage. There were no warning lights. The transmission was serviced in at approx. 25,000 miles and wiring harness replaced.

Before coming to the stop sign it felt like it was having a shuddering affect. Luckily there was no traffic and it finally shifted out but wouldn’t accelerate very well. I was able to make it home and the Check engine is now on. It was definitely scary experience and now I’m kinda afraid to drive it. This car is low mileage (less than 50k) and a daily driver.

I am reporting an issue with my 2019 Chevrolet Camaro 2LT RS involving a faulty torque converter. The vehicle began showing symptoms consistent with transmission shuddering and performance issues. After diagnostic evaluation at a certified Chevrolet dealership, I was informed the torque converter needs to be replaced and the transmission fluid flushed. Upon researching, I found that this problem is covered under a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) issued by GM for this specific model and year, indicating it's a known issue. However, my vehicle is now out of warranty, and GM has not issued a recall despite the safety and drivability concerns. I believe this defect should be investigated further, as it poses a risk to vehicle performance and potentially driver safety.
