PLATE WHICH THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT ANCHOR IS ATTACHED TO RUSTED AWAY CAUSING THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT TO BE USELESS.
CONSUMER STATES THAT THE POST THAT THE SEAT RESTRAINT BOLT HAS RUSTED OUT. WHEN SEAT IS PUSHED FORWARD CAN SEE TO THE GROUND BECAUSE OF THE RUST. THE DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. *AK
ENGINE FIRE.
BRAKES: THE BRAKES WERE INOPERATIVE. TOOK VEHICLE TOOK DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE RETURN SPRINGS FOR THE SHOE BRAKES ON ONE SIDE WERE BROKEN. ONE SPRING ON THE OTHER SIDE WAS BROKEN. WHEEL CYLINDERS CAME OUT ON SIDE WHERE ALL THE SPRINGS WERE BROKEN AND DUMPED ALLTHE FLUID OUT. *AK

SEVERE CORROSION DUE TO ROAD SALT AT THE JOINT OF THE STAMPED STEEL CENTER SECTION AND THE CAST OUTER SECTION CAN CAUSE THE SECTIONS TO SEPARATE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: SEPARATION OF THE ROTOR SECTIONS CAN CAUSE LOSS OFBRAKING ABILITY IN THE AFFECTED WHEEL. THIS COULD RESULT IN INCREASED STOPPINGDISTANCE AND/OR LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND AN ACCIDENT.
Remedy: REPLACE THE FRONT BRAKE ROTORS WITH NEW ROTORS WITH A CORROSION PROTECTION COATING. HOWEVER, IF REPLACEMENT OF BRAKE LININGS ARE NECESSARY, IT WILL BE DONE AT OWNER'S EXPENSE SINCE BRAKE LININGS ARE NORMAL MAINTENANCE ITEMS.
