The contact owns a 2022 Can-Am Ryker. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the motorcycle failed to accelerate as intended. Additionally, the contact stated that the motorcycle had failed to start several times. The contact stated that when the motorcycle was started, the motorcycle idled roughly. The motorcycle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact purchased and replaced the battery; however, the failure persisted. The motorcycle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 900.

On left hand turns only, even at lower speeds, the VSS system is kicking in, preventing safe control of the vehicle, was almost rear ended today when my vehicle refused to accelerate out of a left hand curve, speeding rating curve was 20mph, I was doing 10mph. This occurs frequently to varying degrees on a regular basis, always on left hand turns only. It's never happened on a right hand trun or curve.

Driving ryker down road at speeds of 55 mph and motorcycle shuts down. All power lost instrument panel off. Was able to pull over to side of road fortunately. Computer says VSS fault will not start. A Facebook member of a group suggested I check number 7 fuse. I did and it was blown. It says it’s for electrical module. It’s 10 amps. I replaced and bike worked again. Next day it blows at an intersection when I’m stopped at a light in traffic. No power again. Pull over and blown number 7 fuse again.
Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (Bombardier) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles. The impeller may swell, causing the high-pressure fuel pump to fail.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel pump as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 27, 2024. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222. Bombardier's number for this recall is Bulletin 2023-10.
Bombardier Recreational Products, Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Spyder RT and 2022-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The brake lights may stay illuminated even if the brake pedal is not pressed. As such, these motorcycles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Brake lights that remain illuminated can fail to alert other motorists of the rider's intention and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Depending on the model, dealers will replace the brake light switch, adjust the brake light switch, and/or add a spring to the brake light switch, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 17, 2023. Owners may contact BRP Customer Service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this recall is 2023-6.
Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Ryker motorcycles. The position light and flasher electrical harnesses in the front fenders may loosen and rub on the tire, leading to a short circuit and resulting in an engine stall while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will secure the two harnesses, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 9, 2022. Owners may contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222.
Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) is recalling certain 2022 Can-Am Ryker motorcycles. The handlebar stem bolt may break unexpectedly due to insufficient thread length.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A broken handlebar stem bolt can cause a sudden loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised to not ride their motorcycle until the remedy is complete. Dealers will clean the threads of the steering column and install a new steering stem bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2022. Owners may contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222. BRP's number for this recall is 2022-16.
