TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 ALFA ROMEO STELVIO. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE HAD AN OIL CHANGE. AFTER LEAVING THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT 65 MPH APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION, THE ANI-COLLISION WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT APPLIED THE BRAKE PEDAL WHICH FAILED TO OPERATE CORRECTLY AND BECAME DIFFICULT TO DEPRESS CAUSING THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE VEHICLE LOCATED IN FRONT OF HER VEHICLE. WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AROUND 3 AM IN DARK ENVIRONMENT, GOING AT 63MPH, THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF IN LESS THAN 1 SECOND WITH NO WARNING AT ALL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V148000 (FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE DEALER FERRARI AND MASERATI (525 SOUTH LAKE DESTINY DRIVE, ORLANDO, FL 32810 (407)-667-43000) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia and 2018-2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles. The fuel pump may fail, which can result in a loss of fuel flow and loss of drive power.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the fuel delivery module, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, were mailed October 7, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated July 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 93C. Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Alfa Romeo Stelvio vehicles. The fastener that connects the brake pedal and the brake booster may have been improperly assembled during manufacturing, which can cause the brake pedal to detach from the brake booster.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Brake pedal detachment can cause a loss of brake function and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and repair, the brake booster connection, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 18, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is E0B.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: The loss of braking assistance and ABS functionality can reduce overall braking performance, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: A loss of coolant can cause the engine to overheat and the vehicle to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
