WHILE TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, I RAN OVER SOME ROAD DEBRIS WHICH CAUSED MY TIRE TO BLOW OUT. I DID CHECK MY OWNERS MANUAL AND ACURA DOES NOT WARRANTY THEIR $240 TIRES FOR THAT KIND OF FAILURE. I THEN CHECKED MY MICHELIN WARRANTY BOOKLET, WHICH ALSO STATED THAT KIND OF FAILURE WAS NOT WARRANTEED. THE NEAREST TIRE STORE DID NOT HAVE MY TIRE IN STOCK, SO I HAD TO PUT A NON-OEM TIRE ON MY CAR. WHILE AT THE DETROIT AUTO SHOW DURING INDUSTRY PREVIEW DAY, I NOTICED A MICHELIN BOOTH. I INQUIRED ABOUT MY TIRE FAILURE. MICHELIN STATED THAT I SHOULD HAVE CONTACTED THEM AT THE TIME OF THE BLOW OUT. I STATED, I READ THEIR BOOKLET AND IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THEY TOOK MY NAME AND NUMBER AND SAID SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME. WITH IN ONE WEEK I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MICHELIN. THEY INSTRUCTED ME TO PURCHASE A NEW MICHELIN TIRE TO MATCH MY OTHER 3 TIRES AND SEND THEM THE BILL. WITH IN ONE WEEK I RECEIVED A CHECK. IF THEY WANT TO BE CONTACTED AND WILL REIMBURSE ME FOR TIRES, THEY SHOULD PUT THAT IN THE WARRANTY BOOKLET. *AK
