My vehicle is experiencing the exact mechanical "sticky steering" and steering gearbox binding symptoms outlined in NHTSA Campaign 24V-744. While driving at highway speeds, the steering wheel sticks in the dead-center position and requires a sudden, jerky physical force to break it free to maintain lane control. This creates an immediate, highly dangerous accident risk. I have already presented this vehicle to my local Acura dealership multiple times for diagnosis. Because the defect is thermal and intermittent, the dealership technicians have stated they "cannot replicate" the issue on their short test drives, and because my specific VIN is not actively flagged on the recall database, their hands are tied under standard procedures.
