The contact owns a 2015 Yamaha XVS950 motorcycle. The contact owns a 2015 Yamaha XVS950 motorcycle. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the motorcycle would lose motive power due to a spline transmission output failure which caused disconnection of power to the rear wheel. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 17,000.
