MY YAMAHA ZUMA 125 HAS INTERMITTENT STALLING PROBLEMS. MY LAST INCIDENT WAS THIS WEEK, WHERE MY ZUMA STALLED ON THE ROAD, I WAS ABLE TO RIDE IT THE REST OF THE WAY TO WORK, BUT THEN WOULD NOT START AGAIN. I GOOGLED PROBLEMS WITH YAMAHA ZUMA 125'S AND THERE ARE DOZENS OF COMPLAINTS EXACTLY LIKE MINE. THE CONSENSUS IS THAT THEY HAVE A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP. I CALLED YAMAH, THEY SAID THEY HAD NOT HEARD OF THE PROBLEM....CLEARLY LUDICROUS BECAUSE IT IS ALL OVER THE NET. EVENTUALLY, SOMEONE'S VEHICLE WILL STALL IN AN INTERSECTION AND WILL BE KILLED BY THIS DEFECT. INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS. YAMAHA HAS DECLINED TO FIX THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY BY 8 MONTHS (THE VEHICLE HAS ONLY 470 MILES ON IT!) I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE SECOND HAND FOR WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A BARGAIN... (FOOLISH ME) OBVIOUSLY THEY KNEW THERE WAS A SERIOUS FLAW. I HAD THE YAMAHA DEALERSHIP CALL AND CONFIRM THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM. THEY CALLED, AND YES, OF COURSE THEY KNEW THERE WAS A PROBLEM!!!! SO YAMAHA LIED TO ME. YAMAHA SAID , THAT WITH THE HEAT WAVE THEY ARE GETTING MORE AND MORE COMPLAINTS FROM UP NORTH. I NEED THIS VEHICLE FOR MY DAILY TRANSPORTATION. THIS IS NOT A TOY FOR ME. I HAVE NO OTHER VEHICLE! THIS IS MY TRANSPORTATION! I BELIEVE THAT IF IT IS THE FUEL PUMP THEY SHOULD ANNOUNCE A RECALL. IN THE MEANTIME I WILL HAVE TO PAY $350+ TO FIX THEIR DANGEROUS MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. *TR
