2026 Yamaha MT-10

Vehicle: 2026 Yamaha MT-10 I am reporting a safety-related defect involving my 2026 Yamaha MT-10 motorcycle. The motorcycle has experienced an intermittent no-crank/no-start condition. When the problem occurs, the instrument panel and electrical system power up normally, but pressing the starter button produces no engine cranking. The defect occurs unpredictably. At times the motorcycle starts normally, while at other times it will not start despite having battery power and the ignition system turned on. Because the condition is intermittent, it can be difficult to reproduce consistently. This defect creates a safety concern because the motorcycle may fail to start when needed, potentially leaving the rider stranded in an unsafe location such as a roadway, parking lot, fuel station, or remote area. Riders must be able to rely on the motorcycle starting when required. The motorcycle has been presented for diagnosis, and possible causes discussed have included components within the starter control circuit, such as the starter switch assembly, safety interlock system, wiring, relays, or related electrical components. However, the intermittent nature of the failure raises concerns about a potential defect affecting reliability and rider safety. I am submitting this complaint so the issue can be documented and investigated for possible defects affecting Yamaha MT-10 motorcycles.
