The contact owns a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, there was a loud booming sound coming from the roof of the vehicle. The contact owns a 2024 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, there was a loud booming sound coming from the roof of the vehicle. The contact later discovered that the glass sunroof had exploded outward from the roof. At the time of the failure, the sunroof was closed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 13,000.
