Ural has had a warranty/recall notice in place for at least 3 years due to a known safety issue with the spokes/wheels on their motorcycles. I've been waiting since summer 2023 to have the recall work completed. My nearest dealer contacted me in February notifying me that the warranty work was approved. I brought in my Ural to the same dealer on March 28. Now, April 16, the dealer is telling me I need to pay for the recall work out of pocket (instead of covered by Ural [OEM] as originally agreed upon, because Ural is not paying the dealer in a timely manner. The dealer has told me that Ural has been avoiding completing the safety recall on the wheels, and is not paying the dealers for the work to fix the known safety issue. The dealer suggested I reach out to NHTSA.
