Turtle Top is recalling certain model year 2009 Odyssey LT transit buses built on Ford Chassis manufactured August 1, 2009, through October 13, 2009 and equipped with A & M Systems passenger entrance/exit doors. Voltage spikes may damage the electrical components and electrical circuits of the door actuator, causing the circuit board to develop high resistance.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: High resistance may cause the board to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Turtle Top will notify owners and A&M Systems will replace the affected circuit boards, free of charge. The recall began on December 9, 2013. Owners may contact Turtle Top at 1-800-296-2105 or A&M at 1-574-522-5000 extension 15.
