THE OWNER OF A 2001 TRIUMPH TROPHY 1200 MOTORCYCLE CONTACTED ODI TO REPORT ALLEGED PINCHING/ABRADING OF THE REAR BRAKE CALIPER HYDRAULIC LINE BY A SADDLEBAG (LUGGAGE) CARRIER BOLT DURING SUSPENSION MOVEMENT.BECAUSE ODI RECEIVES FEW COMPLAINTS FROM MOTORCYCLE OWNERS WE ARE OPENING THIS PE, PROMPTED BY THIS LONE REPROT, TO ASCERTAIN THE ALLEGED FAILURE'S FREQUENCY/SEVERITY.SINCE 1996, WHEN IT WAS FIRST IMPORTED, TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES, LTD. (TRIUMPH) HAS RECEIVED NO COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE ALLEGED FAILURE.A CHECK WITH LOCAL DEALERS INDICATED THAT THE PROBLEM REPORTED WAS AN ISOLATED INCIDENT WITH NO TRENDING INDICATED.
