2023 Toyota Tundra CrewMax SR5 4x4, VIN [XXX], approximately 79000 miles. This vehicle has two open safety recalls. Both show "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available" on NHTSA's VIN lookup as of XXX NHTSA 25V322 (Toyota 25TB06) was filed XXX for moisture intrusion causing both reverse lamps to fail. Toyota's remedy notice estimated that the remedy would begin to be available in the fourth quarter of 2025. That estimate is now approximately nine months past and no remedy is available for this VIN. NHTSA 25V767 (Toyota 25TB14) was filed XXX for machining debris causing number one main bearing failure, with symptoms including engine knocking, rough running, no-start, and loss of motive power. Interim notices were mailed XXX. The remedy has been postponed and remains unreleased for this VIN, with rollout phased by vehicle age. I am filing because the manufacturer has been unable to provide a remedy for either recall within a reasonable time. I have owned this vehicle since XXX and have been unable to obtain repair for a known safety defect for more than fifteen months on the first campaign. 2 RECALLS ISSUES: Since I bought that Toyota Tundra from 2023 to now, I was reporting several times issues with knocking engine and losing of engine power (rough running), but service department said nothing happens with. Then, now I have a recall, waiting to get a new engine, that I saw it over the dealer Toyota computer, as the adviser told me "I am in waiting line", but time is running, and no one is contacting me to done it. I am very worry to get issues when I am driving, Then I have to get a long trip no Mexico with the truck, but can not do it like this. Then my reverse lamp lights have a recall too. The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V767000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) and 25V322000 (Exterior Lighting); however, the parts for the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact stated that while driving 50-60 MPH, the vehicle suddenly decelerated and failed to exceed 20 MPH. The contact safely exited the highway and drove to the destination. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the fuel injectors and other unknown parts were inspected, and an unknown diagnosis and repairs were completed after 3-4 weeks. The dealer confirmed that the parts for the recall repairs were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the part for NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V767000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) was anticipated to be available in January 2026. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.

The manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for the vehicle in a timely manner. The driver’s view to the rear can be limited when backing during low ambient light conditions, and there may be no indication to others that the vehicle is operating in reverse. Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra, Lexus LX, and 2024 Lexus GX vehicles equipped with a V35A engine. Debris from the manufacturing process may contaminate the engine and cause the main bearings to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will perform an inspection on the #1 main bearing using vehicle inspection software and drive data, and if necessary, replace the engine. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner letters were mailed August 28, 2026. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB14 and 25TA14. Lexus' numbers for this recall are 25LB07 and 25LA07. This recall expands previous NHTSA recall number 24V381.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, and 2023-2025 Sequoia Hybrid vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview image not to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the multimedia display software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB10 and 25TA10.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles. Moisture may enter the reverse light assemblies and cause a light failure.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Reverse light failure may reduce visibility, and not alert pedestrians and other drivers that the vehicle is backing up, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace both reverse light assemblies and repair the wire harnesses as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed May 23, 2026. This is a phased recall. The load carrying capacity modification label may display inaccurate added weight values. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A vehicle with an incorrect maximum capacity weight value may be overloaded, which can increase the risk of a crash.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023 Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, and Sequoia Hybrid vehicles. The steel chain used to secure the spare tire to the underside of the vehicle may have been insufficiently welded.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Chains that are not welded sufficiently can break and allow the spare tire to detach, increasing the risk of a crash.

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Tundra and Tundra Hybrid vehicles that may be equipped with a Toyota genuine accessory tonneau cover. The tonneau cover attachment joints may come loose and allow the cover to detach.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A tonneau cover that detaches while driving can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners of the subject vehicles will be notified by first class mail to return their vehicles to a Toyota dealer. Dealer will install new hardware (bolts, spacers, washers, nuts, rubber washers and cotter pins) to the existing bracket and tonneau cover. If the tonneau cover has tears or splits at the mounting holes to the extent that new hardware cannot be installed, it will be replaced with a new tonneau cover and hardware. A software error in the combination meter's electronic control unit (ECU) may cause the Instrument Panel LCD display to go blank. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 101, "Control and Displays."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A blank display will not show critical information such as the speedometer or warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
